Thanks for your post as it really speaks to how I feel about this whole chemistry conversation. It's weird that people instantly equate sex and lustful kisses to strong chemistry. It's like they forgot the emotional side and simple gestures too...idk. I feel strong chemistry is not necessarily sex and lust. It's about how two people act and react around each other that keep the audience engaged.

I just realized recently that Li Yitong is from the same management company as Zhang Linghe, but she and Tian Xiwei are openly friends with each other due to SHErlock. Their interactions outside of the variety show seem friendly as well. So, perhaps rumours are really just rumours and their companies are actually willing to work with each other. In any case, hopefully their respective companies will make the CP fans' dream come true.
