I understand your view of the drama. Divorce wasn’t an option. Perm’s family and her own Dad wouldn’t have let her divorce him. Plus, she grew up very sheltered. I obviously was hooked on the drama. I was in shock by all the mean actions the characters used.
The two maids trying to help them escape were really sweet.
I’m a retired high school math teacher. One year I had a foreign exchange student from Bangkok, Thailand. She was such a good student. I hope no one ever slapped her or hurt her! She had a great personality. I’m in the the USA. On the first day of school, she stood up when I started class. She said good morning. USA students do not respect teachers like every Asian drama I’ve watched.
I’m glad I watched until the end of the drama. Acting was very good. Beautiful actors. I always learn something new when I watch foreign dramas. I am addicted!

Her husband comes back and totally ignores her. (We find out later why he ignored her).
I agree Tone did her wrong too.
But Perm was evil. Whole series was a mess. I’m fortunate to have lived in a home where I wasn’t hit. And my husband has NEVER hit me. This was a horrible experience watching. I kept hoping it would get better. Nope! Horrible!

Well, having children played a big role in this so. That’s why it was the problem.
perm showed her he had nothing…go back and watch the scene. In real life, he would have to had to have surgery…how to urinate …. I am mad at myself for watching this. So, he loved his wife, but plotted against her, hit her, locked her up in the room, pushed her down the ladder! This is the most violent drama I have watched set in this time period and EVERYONE is rich. Crazy. The brother did nothing for a living. lazy. Whole drama is a mess. don’t waste your time!

After two children born, I got my masters degree. 2 of them. It was so hard! Teaching full time while going to school at night and raising my children. it was worth all the exhaustion to get to my goal. And l prayed constantly for God to help me get through it all. And He did. Anything that’s hard to do, isn’t easy. if difficult dreams were easy, everyone would be working on them! I’m loving this drama. When did the ML AND FL make a baby??? I’ve missed it or haven’t gotten to it yet. Posts on here say those two got married and have a baby. please tell which episodes. I’m on episode 21.
Oh my goodness. I was bored. I FF so much of this drama. I love the ML & FL in their other dramas. Many scenes made no sense. Many scenes were so boring. The leads had NO chemistry. I watched until the end. Hoping each episode would get better. Even when she watched the flower for hours…so boring.
Hard to watch, but kept me very interested. I’m a retired high school math teacher. 20 years ago, a girl stood up in my classroom and said she had a gun and was going to K*ll me. Then named other kids in the classroom of 15 and 16 year olds, she would do the same to them. I got her out of my classroom, gave a boy my keys and said lock the door, hide behind my desk and ONLY OPEN THE DOOR FOR THE POLICE.
In American schools, teachers can not leave students alone. I’m so surprised of kids being left alone with no supervision in South Korea. I received no counseling after that horrible experience. Neither did my students. And we STILL have violence in our schools. I don’t know what the answer is. Parents have stopped parenting here in the US. I always disciplined my own children. The didn’t cause trouble. If they did, I would go to the school. Also, my own children were bullied by a few teachers. I also went to their school and told them I would not tolerate the teacher’s behavior.
Lastly, I retired early in my career. Are the schools in the show really have such horrible bullying, etc?

I absolutely love this drama. The acting is phenomenal. FL really pulls off being a woman of the Josean era. I love her too. great acting by both. He looks great in all black. The beach scene. wow! I hope we have a happy ending. I usually do not like “transmigration”. This really works. FL takes on the world. she’s very smart. Learns about the new world. Love this drama!!!!! I’m on episode 7. Don’t miss this gem!

The writing was good. ACTORS excellent.
