Maybe i'm misunderstanding what you mean, but "giving someone the fifth degree" is basically when the doctor is grilling MeRi, lik you said. I can't stand the doctor either, or ML's assistant who is always inappropriately flirting w him and asking personal questions in public.
This is a charming, fun & well-acted drama. I just watched for second time, first was years ago, I was desperate for something light and nothing current looked good to me. The two leads as well as secondary characters are fab. Funny lines such as when ML mom says, "I know I don't look it, but I'm getting older" etc....and the hubby has made plastic surgery remarks. Nice scenes of ML mom w FL and all her "just kidding" lol. And hubby worried about her and telling her to go buy that expensive "it" purse that just came out and she finally says to him, "I bought it last week already" lol. Cute use of blinking noises and sunlight shining on ML. And FL wardrobe, wow she looks amazing at all times. And thank you director for the ML shower scenes lol. Both leads have amazing facial expressions, I'm in constant awe how well they act. Especially ML jealous faces. And kudos to the actress who plays the actress plus one to ML and all her cutesy "OPPAaaaaa!" lol. She plays ditz super well. Honestly this film has so many cute scenes, the ML friend also does a great job counteracting ML hotness. Poignant flashbacks show us why he chose FL as his secretary. W his type of personality, makes sense why they went 9 years w him taking her for granted. Cute how her one sister is a psychiatrist (psychologist?) and gets every diagnosis completely cockeyed. I got very annoyed w the jealous sisters as well as PSJ's jealous brother. Very cute how director showed how similar the two leads are in personality (competitive, perfectionist etc) Park SJ does an amazing job of balancing arrogance and vanity w humble and sad. I get v annoyed w FLs (in almost all Kdramas it seems) who push the ML away for episodes and the ML takes it, I want to say to the male lead grow some and go on blind dates. Make her jealous, stop putting up w her hard to get attitude. And I cant say I wasn't annoyed here as well, but for the acting and story line it's worth it. FL does a great job at her acting also, they make a charismatic pair. Totally worth watching, it's a classic but a fun classic, not too dated, w some laugh out loud scenes.
Well it’s weird bc the acronym doesn’t follow the actual words. I’ve never seen that before. But Google is surprisingly accurate w Korean drama, sometimes you need to add “Korean drama” so Google figures it out. My love etc is super good, also check out Crash Landing on You (CLOY) and a current one called Tempest, (no “the” in front) EXCELLENT

Well done rom com w great supporting cast. Slow burn-ish and just total fun. No stupid misunderstandings. Just pure enjoyment and face card leads. I especially enjoyed first episode where she’s acting out her dream script. She did a cute job w it.

Idk. I think she was being kind to FL bc she had a kid and FL did not and she appreciated what the two leads were doing to help her. Was no need to explain about the necklace either. IMHO, she was just trying to make FL feel better., she had the kid, she knew hubby loved her, she was escaping…all bc of ML saving her life and FL not giving up the boy to evil MIL.
