she does ask him to contact them but he tells her she's an orphan. Yes Choi Dae Hoon's skin really showed up in first episode, whatever they are doing production wise it's fabulous. I love the editing also.

This drama is excellent. ALL the actors are familiar faces and wonderful. The FL is gorgeous, I didn't recognize her but I've seen and loved Trauma Code and Teach You a Lesson and a bunch of others she's been in, so IDK how I didn't recognize her.

I'm so glad they dropped all eps at once, I'm also watching Until the T Shirt Dries and you lose momentum when it's a drip feed like that one.

I LOVE this so far. Capable production team and fantastic actors. Should be rated a lot higher but we all know MDL often skews low for some reason.

Oh...and the editing is fabulous. My favorite--albeit brief--scene was the two sparrows on the tile roof. That was such a lovely little bit of beauty thrown in.

Zo In Sung v easy on the eyes. I love the close-ups. Often FF scenes he's not in.

Got it. Makes sense. The two leads both have a lot of emotions to sort out/need closure before they can move on as well.

ML face was amazing in the scene where he reads the letter. There was so much to unpack how horrific that letter was. ML is playing a complete dif character than Ai No Gakko (Learning to love). He’s a terrific actor and I can’t wait to see who answered the door at the disappearing hubby’s house. Obvi not him. Another woman? Man? It’s rare that I rewatch episodes but I do w UTTD and I catch new subtle clues and details each time.

ML mother is horrendous, the viewer can barely unpack her nastiness when ML goes home to see Sho. Let alone how she behaved when ML got lost at the aquarium as a child. She’s a piece of work. I hope FL isn’t one of these stand -off ish women who make the guy go through hoops to be w her, I’m tired of that trope.

Why would morality make their relationship wrong? Bc it’s too soon for them to have one? Just curious.

The point of the letter is to show what a douche he is. And it’s also his way of saying (as she notes) that the relationship is over. He’s not coming back (to fix the dryer)

Obviously this filter biz is a metaphor, I've never seen so much talk about dryers in my life, IDK how the actors can keep a straight face. And who doesn't open doors on the top of dryers and figure out dryer filters lol. But I do like this drama.

Ep 3 was excellent. Lots of tiny details and surprises. Lots to keep us wondering. This is my new fav drama. I’m also watching Shop for killers 2 and a couple others, as good as shop is I like this more.

I love him as an actor. He’s totally dif from Ai No Gakko

Extremely well said. When it was airing a lot of us wrote about the choice of songs (Erik Satie), train symbolism, yes colors, yes Virgin Mary symbolism, background music (when Kaoru goes to her apt, the song is Dvorák "Going Home") etc etc. Such attn to detail. Love your "minimalist" explanation for the ending & the 3 examples.

I gotta say, I was shocked to see that Japanese schools apparently didn't help poor Kaoru. Maybe some American ones don't either, the ones I know of, do help kids w learning disabilities. Must be so hard for them to have to feel bad about themselves all day long. My younger daughter needed more time to process tests, she had some LDs. Makes all the difference.

This is my third or fourth time watching AI No Gakko /Learning to Love, bc I was in the mood for a mature romance and because watching When the T Shirt Dries (v good so far) reminded me I missed the actor who plays 2ML in LTL. He plays ML in T Shirt & does great job in both.

LTL is an incerdible drama in so many ways but I see that the first two reviews above give it a 10 and I can't improve upon their essays. There are so many clever symbols going on, usually I'm blind to them but w LTL, I notice them and each time I watch I catch new meanings. I love the entire cast. I love the contrast between her somewhat dull Catholic school life and the glamorous nightclub, set design did a fab job. Don't know if I'd want to actually be inside but very fun to watch in a drama. I loved the Joker manager and his tag along. The actor did a great job, I've since seen him in other dramas. Handsome man.

And the OST is perfect. Every time I see this drama I marvel at the production team and actors. It's truly one of the best dramas I've seen and I'm kind of surprised Raul hasn't done more dramas since, for someone who is such an amazing dancer, he killed the acting. But maybe he prefers his dance group. And Kauro's Joker sidekick is such a hoot. I'd love to see him in another role, he was super fun.

Yes it's very good. As is Ai No Gakko, Learning to Love.

ML is way too hot for FL.
