The writing of this one is a million times better. Such witty banter. PC “banter” was like a lead balloon. I was actually surprised the male and female leads didn’t just improvise some of the time, given the wooden dialogue. Maybe they don’t do that in Asian dramas.

I kept rewinding ML trying to pawn off the dog to his asst who is doing a wonderful job talking back to his boss. His cat wouldn't like it lol. What great witty dialogue. Kudos to the writers. I also rewound the scenes w the jealous actress "come together" lunch scene w the boss, who can't believe how the tables have turned. Her facial expressions are amazing and perfect.

Do we know why the comment about his mother set him off yet?

She’s totally not calculating the physical closeness, she’s just scared when she clings to him but she awakens feelings in him. That he fights. And it throws him off when one moment she’s pleading w him to hold her close and then when the other “degenerate” walks away, she brushes herself off and gets annoyed when he touches her haha

That was a cute scene where she said “stop calling me ‘you’” and he replied “then stop calling me degenerate” lol

I am soooo tired of flustered shy “no no no” FLs who are scared of the ml and keep rejecting a perfect guy, sooo tired. That’s why I liked Prisoner of beauty over POJ (even as good as POJ was), I just prefer a more confident FL and she certainly is.

They’re both, as someone said earlier, “unhinged.”
You can see why he likes her. They’re both a bit “off.” She’s v different from the usual chaebol heiresses and he doesn’t believe in romance (and she had to look it up lol). They’re both unaware of their attraction and when it finally dawns on them will be special.

Agree completely about the other three, all of them just meh. Esp PC. This one has witty dialogue, foreshadowing so that situations actually make sense, actors who are perfect for their roles (even secondary ones like the assistants or the receptionist or the acting rivals) and it’s laugh out loud funny. So well done.

I think a lot of people could have written this, it's pretty pedestrian writing. Compare to Royal Nemesis where the convo is actually witty and entertaining. The concept was interesting, but poorly executed. No wonder the leads' acting is getting criticized. They had zip to work with.

Yeah but RN is only 2 eps a week, so far much better than this bog-standard writing. Yes the leads don’t have much to work with. Makes you appreciate how hard it is to do a good drama. But honestly it begins w the script.
