while I do see your point, it seemed hasty but it had been empty for a long time. He was telling work associate things he didn't bother to tell his WIFE. Continued to lie, continued to put her second or third even. And when she walked away in the hospital? He just chowed down. They'd only been married two years, not even long enough to get bored! They should still have been in their honeymoon phase. He wasn't going to get any better.
Speaking of second male lead....I don't recall ever seeing him casually dressed? ML rarely wears a suit. SML, not even a casual sport coat/open shirt (that I recall?)--every time we see him (as I recall), he's full blown vest, starched shirt, fancy tie & maybe clip, full blown SUIT.
It's getting pretty noticeable, ML all cute and casual (those guns in the wife beater!) even in the workplace, and SML all gussied up at all times. Shows his unfortunate insecurity as a DV victim, likely since childhood (as someone pointed out). Can never let his guard down, makes up for his inner lack of confidence with an outer "show of force," not to mention, he's the director who isn't allowed financials? In reality he's powerless.
Hence the fancy suits. And luxury gifts. Everything has a label, Hermes, the fancy lunch box prepared by private chef, luxury sedan, usually w a driver, compared to ML sporty GWagon (which admittedly cost a fortune but looks more fun and casual). SML had a life devoid of love or affection and bases his idea of what life is all about by the definitions spewn by marketers of luxury goods.
Lacking in self esteem, SML clings to those labels to project his idea of power and self, in an attempt to mask his lack of it. I feel so bad for him.
Has anyone mentioned how few times SML dad looks someone in the eye? Rarely. Mostly he looks down, to the side, rarely looks at the person speaking. He's off in his own little nasty world. The mom is really driving me nuts as well, is this stepford wife medicated? She's out of it. Also a DV victim? Maybe not, as passive as she is. ML apparently responded to advice from FL and is trying to be nice to her i think? But his call of avoidance was a good one. She's just bad news. Poor SML tied to these two total parental losers.

So hilarious, all the rando tummy aches and all the friends/BFs bringing medicine to help, after the third or fourth time I was like WTH is with all the stomach issues in this drama lol, how many times do people need some box held up for the camera to see haha

This is one of the best dramas hands down I've seen in 5 years of K and C drama watching (mainly K). The entire production crew including actors is stellar.
Of all the blow-drying hair scenes i’ve seen, this one felt especially natural, simple, unforced, and real.
ML did seem pretty matter of fact about it. I'm glad they didn't overdo the sentiment. Director has been great about keeping the mush level down. Thank goodness. Gives more weight to the scene.

I couldn't believe it when he started eating!!! after she walked away lol! Wow, says it all. I'm impressed at her resolve. Another person might have wanted to salvage the marriage. SFL was DUNZO, wow good for her for following through ALTHOUGH seeing your HUSBAND kissing another woman would be a super turn off, would be hard to get your attraction back after not just figuring out something happened but SEEING IT. ALSO unbelievable that he was (emotionally if not physically) straying after barely two years! They should still be in their honeymoon phase, or at least not bored with each other yet!

I see the point you're making. Yes the fact that someone who drives the cars he drives and has the wardrobe he has and leads the life he leads, saving a plaster/band-aid....truly sad that he has been shown so little care and affection in his life that a band-aid carries such weight. And saved in a pricey box, no less.
