One of my favorite scenes so far in the series has to be the interrogation scene between seol-ah and woo-seok.…
I think there are some kissing scenes later bc in some bts stuff she (jokingly I think haha) says how he suction-cupped her face in the kiss scenes lol
Does Korea seriously let the cops browbeat suspects in an interrogation room without a lawyer present ? And do they have no “innocent til proven guilty” laws? It’s like the cops just want to pin a murder on someone asap so without doing any investigation whatsoever, they accuse FL just bc she was near the victim. Otherwise the atmosphere of this drama is great.
I'm not agreeing w a few negative comments, below...I started Prisoner of Beauty while waiting for POJ and wound up liking it much more than POJ--despite the hunky POJ ML. POB FL is smart and cunning and beautiful and has self respect. When POJ FL turned down ML 's heartfelt proposal, it didn't matter how hot ML was, I was so annoyed w FL's continuous refusals that I switched to POB.
I'm on ep 19 or so of POB, and I am not seeing any negatives. With any of these historical dramas, one has to suspend reality a bit and just enjoy the drama. I find POB funny and compassionate and I like FL much better, she's not always freaking out about everything like POJ FL is,
And I wanted hot ML in POJ to just walk away from FL when she treated him so badly, he needs to find someone who wants him wholeheartedly. And despite POB ML not being as outwardly handsome as POJ male lead, I wound up much more attracted to him bc of his personality. And it's quite refreshing to have such a savvy and self-confident FL. She's amazing.
And PS. I love all the secondary characters, especially POB's wacko mother (actress is great!) and redeemed cousin. And grandma. And the funny generals, and FL's helpers. Casting was lovely.
Everyone is talking about FL being mad at ML for hiding his identity. If I were ML I'd be pretty upset my bride took it upon herself to drug me so that I couldn't go to battle. I'd say they're even.
idk why but I feel ragebaited by the fact that she still doesnt know he is the marquis 😭
It has always been for her protection. But now he has to tell her. He's badly injured, He has to get his strength back. They just met. Give him time, she'd better not slap him, she already did.
i have rewatched it at least 3 times and been in tears but then suddenly i was knocked back into sense and i questioned…
It's. a good thing they reconciled VERY soon after that or it would have been unnecessary torture, I dislike when they drag stuff out too long. But TPTB made them meet quickly after that scene so it became a poetic and tender amuse boûche rather than some annoying KDrama trope (I used to watch mainly K). If the Chinese keep making such quality well-written dramas I will totes switch.
