In china,he is best known for his role in story of yanxi palace, still to this day which made him the biggest household name at that time whereas he is best known for his role in FIYS overseas,He is one of the most followed actor in weibo from 95s generation.it's just that his fans/audience doesn't show off in social medias like other idol traffic actors nowadays. They like to support silently by watching the drama. If this drama have a good quality without compromising main leads storyline just to forcefully give a limelight to support characters, there is no doubt this drama has a potential to be a big success.right now xukai has started promoting this drama on both great escape and hi6 Saturday, great escape broke s+ rating with billion views and hi6 had a great ratings too.Even though reservations is low,it is still one of the most anticipated costume drama. Now the success of the drama will highly depend on drama quality.
The studio didn’t spend marketing budget. With low signals, iQIYI didn’t push. With no push, clicks didn’t…
Just forget reservations,it will not increase.now the success of drama will depend on how good the drama is,it will depend highly on drama's quality/word of mouth.it will either be a hit drama or it will be a disaster.
With the pace they are going maybe we will see the drama in 2030.finger crossed😂😂😂.They announced LJS as main lead in Feb(6/7 months ago and they have still not announced female lead.
Everything depends on the story..if i am being completely honest i don't like the acting of lee jong suk and lee…
I guess it is about preference. The only reason for me to watch this drama is lee Jong suk.he has been missing out from romance genre dramas for a long long time.he has finally comeback for that genre.i am missing out old LJS dramas where he used to known as the actor having the best chemistry with his co actors.previously,he bagged best couple awards for literally every dramas he has starred on.Eagerly waiting for him.
i loved the manhwa!! also, rashta is so overhated. she was just a child forced into slavery :(sovieshit is trash…
Ppl doesn't hate her bcoz she was a slave,it's because she did bad things to navier, lying to sovietsu, killing etc.she was naive at first so navier didn't take them seriously but later her crimes just keep piling up.If I have to blame, sovieshu is the reason for everything.first when navier was with him he neglected her and show care for rashta but when navier left him,he doesn't even looked after rashta, she was naive he would have given more attention on her,she had no prior knowledge and experience of being a noble.
To be honest, I am scared Lee Seyoung as Rashta in The Remarried Empress is going to get the same massive hate…
You ppl are just looking at negative part,Think about positive part as well.I am also the one who knew about lee seyoung from the drama before this I haven't even heard of her name. All three actors lee jongsuk, shin min ah and ju ji hoon are top actors who have massive fanbase domestically and internationally.it is certain that this drama will have great hype which is equal to recognition.keyboard warriors are going to criticise anything,we cannot stop that.As for me,the reason for me to watch this drama is leejongsuk and shin minah's chemistry. Both are known to have the best onscreen chemistry with their costars in their past dramas.
❤️royal feast. I really like Zhu Zhanji. In fact, as a viewer, I find Xu Kai's best acting of his career is…
I had no problem with storyline and xukai. The only problem I had with this drama was FL.She looked mature on the drama but her acting cute and childish,a know-nothing persona, Infront of xukai was the one pissing me off.i liked second FL acting more appealing than FL.
I agree with most of your opinion but I disagree with 800 meters and arsenal military academy. In my opinion both…
As i said before,it is just a preference.cdrama industry is very competitive market,1000s of young actors enter market.if you only look for romance genre dramas,it becomes too competitive as actors are easily replaceable in these dramas that's why actors need to get themselves on other genre dramas as it will increase their opportunity in script availability in the future.Thats why we see actors chasing for serious, big social dramas nowadays.idol dramas are more popular and commercially more attractive but the audience/popularity is only limited to teenage people but in order to reach general public, they need to do social, unique dramas which are mostly broadcast on CCTV.
I agree with most of your opinion but I disagree with 800 meters and arsenal military academy. In my opinion both…
Sorry,of course arsenal military academy is a top tier,it was a writing mistake.in case of 800 personally,I prefer romance drama from xukai,800 meters's story had no weak points, all the actors nailed their respective roles,it was fast paced without unnecessary exaggeration.I hope he wins award for his role.He breakthrough step away from his usual handsome idol/romance roles to serious role which are critically acclaimed and help win major awards showcasing his acting excellency but that kind of drama are one time watch for me.That genre dramas are not my preference especially when it comes to kdramas/cdramas.But right now these kind of roles are important for long stability in this drama industry as it shows the actor's ability to carry out any genre dramas.

Here is why I didn't felt connected to drama royal feast.
1. The chemistry fell completely flat for me. Re-pairing Xu Kai and Wu Jinyan was the main reason I tuned in after Story of Yanxi Palace, but their dynamic here felt cold, distant, and overly restrained. The romance had zero heat, and the female lead pushing him away constantly just killed any excitement I had for their couple. 2. The show suffers from a massive identity crisis. I couldn’t tell what kind of drama I was watching. One minute it's a slow, relaxing "food-porn" show with endless cooking scenes, and the next it tries to be a dark, ruthless palace-intrigue thriller. Mixing cozy kitchen drama with brutal political scheming just didn't work for me. 3. The pacing and plot edits are a mess. The early episodes drag forever on minor kitchen rivalries, while the actual political storylines and character arcs in the second half feel super rushed, choppy, and half-baked—probably due to heavy post-production cuts. 4. The visual filter and styling look completely drained. I really wasn't a fan of color palette here. That washed-out, brownish-gray filter combined with muted makeup made the entire show look dull and bleak, stripping away the visual charm and gloss you usually expect from a high-budget historical drama. 5. The main characters were just frustrating. Instead of having clear, satisfying goals, the characters felt passive or overly stubborn. Watching the lead constantly prioritize her culinary ambitions while pushing away every build-up of romantic momentum made it really hard to root for them. Overall, it’s not unwatchable—the food shots and costumes are neat but it completely missed the mark on story, romance, and pacing. Definitely a disappointment given the star power for me.

Aesthetically royal feast was excellent but romance wise it failed to impress me,I watched that drama after watching story of yanxi palace(soyp),royal feast had high potential to become blockbuster as people loved the couple from soyp. After such heartbreaking ending on soyp, people were excited to see their strong chemistry, when I saw a review of the drama on douban,I found many people complaining about lack of romance in royal feast as I felt too.The drama was focused too much on food and kitchen. The drama gained huge viewership for first few episodes as it was most anticipated pairing but later it dropped. As for sword and fairy,I found the FL acting cute, too irritating (for me),later I found out that the character was written that way in novel, still it was frustrating, the story was unique though as the same goes for lost in Kunlun mountain
ive been seeing patterns similar to MR too. im mentally prepared to see another dual-leads turns female-centric…
I used skip button a lot while watching moonlit reunion🤣🤣🤣.Everytime the characters like book demon, snake lord, pei zhiya, etc appeared, I utilized skip botton effectively.i hope I can watch this drama with less utilisation of skip botton😆😆😆
It is the most disappointing part of cdrama.its not like they are making 2 hour long movie where they have to…
If official fan page has decided to not support their idol's drama,it must be pretty serious.without any evidence/proved statements,I don't think they would have taken such decision to not support the project or in this case production team.i saw on weibo that fanpages were saying people not to overspend money in order to support drama.looking at the way production team/ platform is behaving, they are trying their hardest to show that xukai and Zhou ye have equal impact on drama so that they can get xukai's fans support.xukai's fans will certainly watch the drama but they will not waste money on other things to show support. The trailer looks good but I have lower expectations from this.during moonlit reunion drama, they showed xukai and tian xi Wei fully but in the drama they didn't even cover xukai's story part and changed full focus on tian xi Wei and keep on adding infinite support characters.lets wait and see,it's better to judge after watching the drama than judging it beforehand based on rumors/speculation.
The propaganda and merchant materials all mentioned about both ML and FL story. It will be considered a scam if…
It is the most disappointing part of cdrama.its not like they are making 2 hour long movie where they have to make story compact and fast paced, for god's sake they have normally 30/40 episodes with more than 40 minutes long episode and still they fail to cover the story of main leads.Instead of focusing on main leads storyline ,they will rather have seconds leads, share major screentime with support characters.Thats why global audience prefer kdramas over cdramas bcoz the story is focus on main leads, support characters part revolves around main leads,no exaggerated scenes.I would rather prefer 20/24 episodes with main lead focused drama than 40 episodes drama with infinite support characters.I think agencies are to blame for this matter,in most of the cases agencies are also producer of drama so they have strong influence,in order to promote their newbie actors/actresses,they just increase their screentime. If they want to promote new actors, they should include strong scenes or include a scene where they can show intense acting skills rather than increase screentime with ordinary acting skills just to show their presence.
