It took them 7 months since announcing LJS as male lead to choose female lead,I wonder when will they start shooting,when will it finish shooting and when will we get to see this drama😔😔😓.It is only 8 episodes long, it would have been better if it was 12 episodes drama

Whenever I see a word 'time loop' it reminds me of baijingting's dramas reset and mobius,That genre dramas are unique with lots of twist and turns,different from nowadays regular types of Chinese dramas.Looking forward to this drama as well as it has xiao zhen,he is a top tier actors he must have chosen good script.By the way,when will it broadcast?

There is no romance plotline in the novel,the story surrounds around two ML ie xukai and miles Wei and there is only one girl i.e he nan as erya on the novel but later producers restructure the narrative into a high-stakes imperial capital conspiracy,that's why they introduced a new heroine played by Zhang huiwen ,I have not read the novel,I am planning to read it but haven't started yet,but I have heard that drama adaptation is going to change it and have more screentime for two FL which is good .

I watch this show for two peoples:- baijingting and jia bing,originally I noticed this show because of baijingting but later the chilling and natural performance from all actors hooked me on this show.Also,cinematography is very nice.Bai jingting was only available for less than half episodes in previous season it would be nice if he film all episodes this season but he is too busy filming his drama.

I just found out that this drama was heavily cut during it's consorship/broadcasting license.Originally when it was send for review it was send with 24 episodes but after going through provincial nrta and national nrta,it was trimmed into 15 episodes. No wonder the ending felt somewhat forced or overly "idealistic". The heavily edited cuts toned down the darker, more morally ambiguous aspects of Bai Jingting's character and the legal flaws, which slightly flattened the high-stakes tension near the finale.Thats why raining sequence were so much and seen frequently as no of episodes reduced and the scenes were constricted.

Meanwhile me I miss romance drama from songkang.

Roles are necessary,more than that the story needs to be engaging,unique and gripping.nowadays cdramas are too passive .sometimes I feel that production teams add too many support characters bcoz they don't have gripping storyline and they keep on dragging.i would prefer 16-24 episodes with twist and turns and unique moments rather than 30/40 simplistic plot episodes with unnecessary support characters story.

To be honest,I hope to see xukai on high ip sci-fic drama in future.

I don't prefer actors challenging themselves and trying to change the genre which his audience/fanbase prefer.challenging in drama industry means crying loudly,screaming,gloomy faces etc.But I do prefer actors to change their roles,regularly seeing actors portraying general/emperor on same kind of costumes ,the same building setup,lamp etc makes it just ordinary.when I was new to cdramas,it used to felt unique and interesting but now it is too much,nowadays, the setup even the storyline is almost similar for more than 80% costume dramas,the only difference is different actors.nowadays that's why I prefer modern dramas where actors can portray many roles like doctors,police,reporters etc.I don't believe in challenging roles or not,but the storyline needs to be unique and unpredictable.Most of the cdramas are failing this year especially among global audience.For first few episodes the dramas gets got viewership,ads placement,hype but when the story start getting predictive, general audience stop watching and fans work day and night to show the false strong hype and good response of the drama which we saw on recent released drama 'overdo'.Having strong loyal fanbase may help drama grow for short time but the drama having unique storyline will automatically get support from general audience.few months ago there was a liu hao cun's drama 'the lead' which broke threshold heat index solely based on its unique storyline.

Its been going on for few months but today the melon is seen strong,previously 00s actress was planned for this drama but it is said that producers want Yang zi for FL but her fans doesn't want her to be on regular costume drama as she has just won big award,they want her to do more serious,realistic dramas.Also people were seen complaining about Yang zi's age and were saying she is not suitable for the role.

I know it is stupidity of me to expect romance on such high grip psychological crime drama but When you spend years connecting with an actor through iconic romantic pairings (Story of Yanxi Palace, Falling Into Your Smile,as beautiful as you), your brain conditions you to expect that specific spark whenever they appear on screen. Production companies actively lean into that condition: even when promoting Eight Hundred, marketing materials highlighted his character's relationship with Deng Enxi's character. It is completely fair to feel a sense of whiplash when those romantic beats are sidelined or absent in favor of heavy family drama and crime procedurals.Dont you think so?? I never expected heavy intimate romance in this drama because it is not a typical romance drama but when I see such a heavy romance drama actor on zero romance drama (when the characters are in deep love in the drama) it felt the spark missing,that was empty space for me.if xukai was a villain and FL was a police,I wouldn't have expected any romance moment but in the drama they showed them to be in love.

There was a news on weibo of it scheduled to air on end of August or September first week.

The drama is crime genre so it is understandable that they didn't focus much on romance sectio.For me I found a lack in their chemistry(romantically speaking),they felt more like a sibling to me than lovers,maybe because the FL is too young and there is decade long age gap between them.Also there is no need for intense nudity bed scenes on this drama as it is not romance drama but a crime drama.2/3 kiss scenes would have been sufficient to represent them as strong loving couple.this is the only part I found missing on this drama.romance genre is the most preferred genre to overseas audience when it comes to Korean and Chinese drama industry,even though this drama is crime dramas adding few romance scenes would have helped for better representation of couple pairing(CP) and would have helped reach larger audience.

I found out that FL was just 19 at the time of filming maybe that's why they didn't included kiss scenes,That's understandable.

Yes,it is a crime drama not a romance drama but action speak louder than words,The intimate scenes would have better shown their deep love capable of committing a crime than other simple means.just look at spring of the blade, people are disappointed that xukai war sequence scenes were not filmed.By words only,it is understandable but it makes the clear representation if it is shown by action.In my opinion ,adding romance scenes would have made it more better,I found it lacking.

It's not MDL's fault—overseas audiences simply don't prefer crime or social dramas from the C-drama industry. You won't find many popular dramas in that genre.
First of all, most people don't even watch that genre. Secondly, neutral viewers—or casual fans who aren't dedicated enough to support their idol regardless of genre or quality, and who mainly view Xu Kai as a romance lead—don't want to see him switch genres."Also Chinese audience and overseas audience have different preferences,In douban,blossom of power have 6.0 ratings whereas this drama have 6.8 ratings.

If you ask me,this drama is a one time time, everything is prefect in this drama acting,story,pacing etc.I watched it for xukai.And that's it for me,I don't think I will ever rewatch it.The most lacking I found on this drama is lack of romance,The drama showed us they loved each other deeply,even commited a crime to save love of his life..... but throughout the whole drama they gave a vibes of sibling more than lovers,if the story was made by representing them as siblings,I don't think it would have changed much.
It is just a stepping stone for xukai on that genre hopefully he will get unique storyline,high budget dramas on this genre in future.Eventhough, his popularity overseas will fall,it may help him gain more praise and may help gain some awards domestically.

Actually I am glad it was just a rumor,the novel is mediocre,the writer have same kind of pattern for most of her novels.

Few months ago his movie 'keep real' was released,His drama 'criminal police...' which is one of the huge project is planned to broadcast this year( he finished filming it on march) soon after finishing it he started another biggest drama based on biggest literature award winner novel(he is still filming it,started in April and was scheduled for 6 months shooting and is 60 episodes long),then there is a variety show natural high which he shoot recently and planned for October broadcast.

If you are looking for romance genre dramas,he is not choosing and invested on doing high profile social dramas.After the first frost,there is none.

I am more excited for music and songs than bromance or other things,kdramas used to have great soundtracks on the past in dramas like goblin, descendants of the sun,while you were sleeping,my demon had also great soundtracks.As the drama is related to piano ,they must have included great soundtracks,right!!!
