I went in with no expectations because I don’t particularly know/like the ML, FL and kinda gave up on XianXia. Watched a few episodes and thought its slow moving but charming. Then before I know it, I’m hooked and looking like a 🐼. I think for me it was when human ML was dying and she gave 500 years of cultivation to save him. Shes so badass.

I didn’t think Shen Li took long to realize she’s in love with the ML. She developed feelings for the ML really early on and even gave 500 years of cultivation to save him in the mortal realm. She continued to miss him after she went back to the immortal realm and when they met again, she fell more in love with him as a god. It is only because of their responsibilities that they held back.

As for Mofang, there were no grey areas. To her, he was a friend and a subordinate. She rejected him really early on as well.

I actually thought that this drama mostly focused on the progress of ML and FL’s love story.

omg 16… yes cdrama does get addicting. At 16 I was partying hard and studying even harder. I’m so thankful dramas were not as accessible back then (and not as good tbh) otherwise I would be a woman possessed as well. Good luck!!
