I went in with no expectations because I don’t particularly know/like the ML, FL and kinda gave up on XianXia. Watched a few episodes and thought its slow moving but charming. Then before I know it, I’m hooked and looking like a 🐼. I think for me it was when human ML was dying and she gave 500 years of cultivation to save him. Shes so badass.

She continued to miss him after she went back to the immortal realm and when they met again, she fell more in love with him as a god. It is only because of their responsibilities that they held back.

I actually thought that this drama mostly focused on the progress of ML and FL’s love story.
