I find it hilarious when they are always pristine clean, even during bloody fights or in muddy places.

The audience for drama differs from that of donghua and novels. While it's perfectly fine to prefer one format over another or to enjoy all of them, the timeframe and nature of the dialogues vary significantly. This TV drama consists of 30 episodes, whereas the other formats have 182 episodes and 11 volumes (averaging 500 pages each). Respectively quick, medium and slow.

I generally find the drama well-executed, with the exception of the beasts, which appear too cartoonish for my taste. For instance, the python was underwhelming. Overall, I do enjoy this drama. Yang Yang is doing a commendable job of carrying the story. Although I'm not typically a fan of his work, he has certainly earned some points from me. The supporting roles are also strong, including Doctor Mo, Mentor Mu, Mo Caihuan, Zhong Qingdao, and others.

I'm glad they didn't turn the story into a romance. I don’t like it when dramas differ so much from the original story that I fail to recognize it.

This is why it is not a romance…. But a “mortal’s journey”. It is all about cultivation.

It's not surprising that they wanted to control and silence her. First, they spread rumors that she was faking her illness, and then they attempted to blackmail her by withholding drama offers. I found the chemistry lacking, though not terrible. I agree with everything else.

To be clear: you won’t find a traditional love story here. There is a love interest, but he rejects involvement because she cannot achieve immortality. There’s also an accidental encounter resulting from inhaling an aphrodisiac, but that's all we see this season. I’m not counting the girls who have a crush on him.

Some actors and actresses are not suited for costumes. I came to the same conclusion as you. However, in modern drama, they are good. I also saw few pictures of her in modern clothes with no wig etc… she is pretty. But so far in costume, hair and makeup in JOL and TMA, she is very average (for me)

I agree with you. Sometimes things work well, and other times they don’t. I strongly believe that when actors enjoy themselves on set, it truly reflects in their performances. However, I don’t sense any chemistry between them; it feels more like I’m watching two actors playing their roles instead of a couple. Something feels off to me, although I’m not sure if it’s the actors, the dialogue, or the director’s choices. It’s also possible that I might be biased towards the female lead.

Additionally, both actors didn't spend much time together on set to build a genuine connection, so that might be a factor as well.

I have read the novel and watched the donghua. I know the plot inside and out. As for the actress, I find her average in both acting and appearance. This is my opinion.

They did an excellent job casting her, and her character closely resembles the novel. However, because she couldn't become a cultivator and attain immortality, he denied his attraction. If I remember correctly, he will see her again.

I have come across several negative articles about her performance and reports of her unhappiness with being part of this drama, which may stem from the production or platform reducing her screen time. While I acknowledge that this could be unfounded gossip, I have seen it mentioned in multiple sources. So far, her role has been minimal, and I have not observed any romance in her storyline. I watched one scene with YY, and the chemistry was nonexistent. Generally, when platforms receive too much negativity from fans/viewers they tend to replace actors. This happened in the drama "JOL."
