ML became FL's adoptive parent when he was around 10 years old, and FL was just a baby. When ML turned 18, FL was 8 years old. Unfortunately, FL remained a very petite girl from the age of 8 to 14-15, which is generally the acceptable age to start a platonic love story in dramas. As a result, the love story between them wasn't credible at all. FL never looked like an adult woman, and their chemistry suffered as a result. For me, their relationship felt more like that of a big brother and sister rather than a romantic couple. The choice of this FL was a complete miss for me. Production should have picked another FL for S2... And yes I am aware that in real life she is 5 years older than him.
JYJ.….Don't read the comments if you do not want to be spoiled 😉

A story that follows Xu Fengnian, an arrogant yet gifted young noble whose father harbors high hopes for him. After several hardships, he grows in strength and becomes a protector of the nation.
Xu Fengnian treads an unknown path in the world of jianghu. Although the road is long and laden with ruthless killing, he perseveres in elevating his martial arts skills. Xu Fengnian is motivated by his mother’s vengeance and forms friendships with individuals from different walks of lives.
When Beimang began its attack against the Central Plains, Xu Fengnian returns from his travels to lead the iron cavalry in its defence. Infighting within the imperial court results in the deaths of 300,000 soldiers, yet Xu Fengnian fights to regain the lost ground to protect the common people.
Indeed the mix of humor, sarcastic, arrogant, sensible becoming a powerful superhero fit him like a glove. Thanks to scriptwriters and directors who manages to give him this to shine. There are few pending dramas with him yet to air, hopefully in 2024
have you seen joy of life? if yes then how is this one compared to JOL?
JOL is top of the top: main and support actors and actresses, script, directing, stor. Everything 10 SSS is good but mostly supported by the 2 male actors. For me, it was too slow and not exciting. After 10 episodes, took a break. Then decided to finish. Still very good but for me a 9.
I strongly disagree. Wuxia was not the sole reason for the slow pace of the drama. In fact I kinda like the martial arts choreography and special effects. It was the continuous visits to the sects and carriage talks that made it boring for me. I do understand that some characters needed explanation but I found myself uninterested in some such as the sick sister and the badass sister. It was too many characters and not enough depth. It was jumping from one to another with no real purpose. Nevertheless, I do agree that Zhao Kai and Xu Fiengnien stole the show and that Jiang Ni's actress didn't quite match up to him. In my opinion, the drama falls short of my expectations. It is possible that the actors lacked the charisma and the talent of those in JOL. That's my opinion anyway, everyone is entitled to think differently.
Finished SSS. Good but at times too slow for me. I enjoyed the special effects. The swords in the sky were hilarious. But the picking nose by Sword Divine was annoying, no romance which was okay. Overall, good but not great for me.
Any idea if it is coming from a web novel? Title and author?
My opinion, no need to take it personally.
Let me know if you see it

Sarcastic comment here. Anyway, not saying it is bad, far from it but I would have probably dropped if both male actors were different.
