The concept of a "HEA" or "happily ever after" ending refers (to me) to the resolution of the romantic relationship between the main characters. For me, a HEA signifies that the couple survives, stays together, and remains in love. This means there is no doubt or pessimism in their relationship but rather a clear indication that their love has prevailed and will continue to flourish. The idea of a HEA is straightforward yet potent, as it provides a gratifying ending. A happy ending is a simple concept. The epilogue leaves no doubt as the couple surmounted all struggles, won every battle, and ended together with their love reinforced. No questions. No doubt. No what if.
This is why I hate time travel dramas. Most scripts separate the couple in love. I am not fond of reincarnation either, and I hate the separation by suicide or death. I don't want to watch a Chinese version drama of Romeo and Juliet . A romance drama does not have a dramatic ending. Big difference. Happy means Happy.
at least there is one. lol. Can you imagine how long it takes to translate a lengthy novel like this one? But,…
746 chapters lollllll but JoL translation is pretty good versus some other novels I just couldn’t read. I was translating the translation lolll But have seen other novels with 4 digits! One novel that should be read is Princess Agents. Season 2 was never aired and little chances it will ever be produced. So reading the novel gave me peace loll
A romance drama should have a HE. I see no reason to justify death or separation. This is not a thriller, this is a romance. BE is only acceptable (tolerated) if it is to tease the audience for a season 2
Agreed. Here it is a sure thing it is a SE as all the Chinese episodes have been released so ending is known. I read the novels when they are translated and I do see many differences from tv dramas ad novel which is budget wise understandable. But the author is apologizing as if she is the director or producer. (IF the words were exactly reported) this is a joke.
Same! It seems that the Chinese with no subtitles has been released and they know the ending which is both dies. I hate BE and SE.… Sucks because so far rI eally liked the drama :( This is why I generally wait the drama is fully available and spoil myself be watching the last few minutes of the last episode before I watch episode 1. No HE, not for me.
The female lead (FL) came across as childish, and there was no chemistry between her and the male lead (ML) on-screen. It was a poor casting decision to pair them together, as their lack of compatibility was glaringly apparent to me. It felt like he was dating a teenager. Same vibe. Furthermore, ML's acting was unconvincing when it came to portraying love, which I noticed in another drama as well. Great actor but definitely not meant for r9mance dramas.
Almost the same age, 29 and 28 but he seems way more mature. The pairing is not a good match in my opinion. Sidenote: i like him because he doesn't look like a teen AND the kisses look genuine for a change. This deserves a special mention! Lolll
I'm struggling to watch episode 3. It doesn't sound good. So, the main character goes to collect the purple pill because his aunt is in agony and near death, braving a sea tempest. However, the fairy granny says it is okay to stay longer as long as she has the purple pill. This doesn't make any sense and is completely illogical. Later on, the guy is suddenly okay with lingering and staying around, no longer caring about his aunt. They look like boy and girl versus man and woman. yet she is pregnant and married? and yes, I know that in real life they are respectively 27 and 24. It irks me when scripts are messy, edits are not done correctly. This director needs to be mentored.... Truly disappointing... guys I am counting on you to let me know if it gets better
