As much as I enjoyed this drama, I still feel 24 eps is too short. It should be 30 eps. Here's my reasons:
1. The incident 10 years ago didn't get fully explained. They give us pieces of puzzle and we need to put them together. It would've been better if they showed a full flashback including how Yuansu saved Yun Han. Might need one full ep for it.
2. The villain wasn't convincing that he is the antagonist. His reasons isn't strong enough to justify it, especially since he only appeared at the last few episodes. He just showed up and left.
3. There is more than what they showed us about He Yuanting. He isn't exactly the villain, more like a pawn who feels heartbroken and has no choice but to do evil deeds bcos he was told to, similar to Yun Han. I would like to see the situation of Jinpo royal family bcos clearly he cares about the citizens, but never mentioned he loves his family.
After watching the comical Unchained Love, Never Give Up, The Starry Love and Royal Rumours in a row, now it's time to watch super angsty drama ππ»
Is this drama slow burn and is there any love triangles etc? What episode do they get together on? And is it a…
The main couple started doubting each other and tried to outwit each other. But bcs they already knew the other party is pretending, they quickly become partners. There is no misunderstanding, or break up. Only slight jealousy. The SML likes the FL, but it doesn't interfere the main couple at all. Although they don't officially confess until ep 19, but the amount of flirting is a lot. And of course it's a HE! It is a very lighthearted, romcom drama.
Actually I feel bad for He Yuanting. Even though he is the second prince, it's just a title. He is the underdog, disposable pawn. I don't think he ever feels happy, except once when he was with Liuli in Qinghan. Perhaps the only thing he wants is to be acknowledged and loved. He loves Liuli, but bcos they are enemies, he must put his country first. If only they weren't enemies, they would be best friends.
Once again, Jiamin being the softest girl. She came all the way for Liuli. And look at how she tried to protect everyone when she can't even do it right.
It's slow bcs they started off doubting each other. But there's a lot of flirting and understanding too. There's no misunderstanding or actual love triangle. And there are 4 couples.
Well I kinda agree, Chong Zi is supposedly a cute character in her 1st life but most people who watched it are…
Tbh, I like YCY as a person so I tried to watch her drama, Dance of the Phoenix (with Xu Kaicheng). Her character itself was okay, but no chemistry with XKC and they look more like uncle and niece. Even the romance feel forced. Her character doesn't even love the ML. She has more chemistry with the SML. I watched YCY again in Heroes bcs MZY is in it too. She has better chemistry with ZSX. My opinion, she has better chemistry with people around her age than a more experienced mature male co-stars.
Guyss should I give this one a try? I was in the middle of watching Starry Love but somewhere in the middle I…
You should continue with TSL! The mortal arc is short, it ends on ep 24-25. During this time, the second couple also faces huge trouble. After you finish watching TSL, you can start watching Royal Rumours. RR is a very lighthearted romcom. Very different with TSL.
Please why do the women look like ghosts?? What sort of makeup is this?
It's the real styling during song and tang dynasty. The stylist team really put a lot of effort for the female styling and makeup. Even more, during tang dynasty, the ladies show their cleavages. You can see it in the drama Empress of China (Fan Bingbing, Aarif Rahman). Bcs of this, the drama has several versions that even had to censor the cleavages.
