So true! People who just started watching cdrama will complain about the episode numbers. Brooo I used to watch tv series that has more than 100 eps! They kept adding unnecessary problems and the characters take a long time to resolve 🥱 at least cdrama is much better, with stunning visuals, settings, hanfu with MUCH shorter episode numbers. It's only 40 eps! Long time cdrama fans actually complain the numbers are too short.

Yes I didn't mean "fast pace romance" as well. But some people said The Double is fast pace and I didn't see it at all. It is very slow. Also, to compare it with Blossom is absurd. Both drama are totally different.

Besides, which cdrama that isn't slow? That's why it used to have 60+ eps. Even when they cut it to 40 eps, cdrama is still slow burn to capture all the details.

The Double is very good for:
1. Those who like revenge.
2. Those who like FL centric drama.
3. Slow burn romance.
4. Smart and witty FL.
5. Equally smart leads.
6. Visually pleasing.

Things I felt disappointed:
1. There is no secondary couple.
I was hoping Ruoyao and that Mr. Qi could be a couple. I thought the plot would be Mr. Qi keeps pursuing Ruoyao and they get married. Such a handsome man only appears for 1-2 minutes??
2. It would've been nice if Liu Xu and Shijie become a couple. The hyperactive gf with gentle bf.
3. Idk about the novel, but this drama has Shen Yurong and the princess as the second couple, which irritated me. It is very toxic and disturbing.
4. Yeah, lets treat their wounds and mental illnesses with poison 😓

I finished watching this a few days ago.
I want to write something that was bothering me.

A lot of people compared The Double with Blossom. Some of them said "I'm used to The Double's fast pace, I feel Blossom is too slow" and things like that. Every time I read that kind of comments, I thought "How fast is The Double? Do the leads get married at ep 5 or something? Or does one enemy go down right after she returns?"

Then the more I watched it the more I kept thinking "Which part of it that people said fast pace?" Bcos I didn't see anything that can be called "fast pace".

It is very slow. The FL deals with her stepmother and sisters, academy rivalry, music practice, etc. The romance is very subtle. They kinda confessed at ep 34! "Do you know I fancy you?"

Idek why people compare The Double with Blossom. Surely they don't know the two drama have different plots.

The Double is a revenge drama. The FL focuses on making those who harmed her and Jiang Li to pay while also making sure Jiang Li gets what she should have. The leads are not in the mood for romance, more like business transactions.

Blossom is a rebirth drama, but the FL doesn't care about revenge. She only wants to live in peace. It focuses on their marriage life.

If people want to compare, it should be The Double with The Glory.

There is a special eps to see the real ending, you have to find it or ask anyone who have the links.

"tigers sniff the rose" is originally based on Siegfried Sassoon's poet which describes "a powerful individual who also possesses a delicate side".
The poet is translated to Chinese as "there is a fierce tiger in my heart carefully sniffing a rose" which symbolizes having both power and gentleness within one's nature. This title actually portrays both FL and ML perfectly.

8 out of 10 actors in this drama are so good looking!
My most fave somehow is Zhao Ke, the guard, he is cute!
The actors play as Zhou Yanbang and Li Jin are also hottie.
Then I kept thinking where did I see the actor for Zhao prince, and after I checked he was Ru Shou in LYF 😚
Such a pity Meng En and Ji Lingchen only appeared for a short time.

Why would the MUA use such yellow color for her eyeshadow? It is oranye with too much yellow tone in it. It looks like they smeared betadine in her eyes. Why not pink instead? It will make her face look feminine as if she has natural blush.

Liu Xiening as a 15 y.o spoiled brat is unsuitable. Too immature.

1. It's on netflix.
2. I'm bored, my waiting list is still nowhere.

Man oh man, what a mess of a drama!
I'm on ep 17 and I don't even understand what the writer tried to do.

First, the leads have zero chemistry! Ren Jialun had better chemistry with Yang Zi and Song Zuer, and in this drama, with Gala Zhang and Estelle Chen. He even has more chemistry with Physician Li!
I usually don't like misunderstanding, but this one is understandable. However for me the leads are not meant to be. They should get divorce. Their days of falling in love didn't convince me at all. It was all bland.
I'm not interested even a bit in the leads love story.
What kind of emperor who chooses a woman over the country? He keeps neglecting the throne and his life for her. If he is so eager to die, then he should just abdicate, entrust the throne to his brother and die peacefully.

Second, at first I wasn't convinced with the actor playing the prince, Gala Zhang, but the more he appears the more he convinces me he is suitable.
However his love story with that unruly girl turned me off. The prince deserves a real woman! She's too rougish, like an old woman in the meat market. It is said she is the bodyguard, but she has done nothing as a bodyguard should.

Third, I quite like the prince and guard romance. The actress has real snow white skin! Sadly, the guard is forced to accompany her, with no trace of liking. Their personalities complete each other, much better than the other 2 couples.

Fourth, oh I love the guard Li Hongqing and the general brother Ling Jueding. They are so handsome!

Fifth, for those who are wondering whether to watch it for either Ren Jialun or Peng Xiaoran, better watch their other drama. This one is NOT worth it at all.

I first saw her in Red Mood Pact, then Dashing Youth.
If you are interested in her, try watching Luminosity Behind the Palace and Returning Pearl. Both are short drama.

It's been a long time since I enjoyed a kdrama.
This one is MUCH BETTER than All of Us Are Dead, Duty After School, Happiness, Sweet Home (imo).

I did give it a high score for:
1. ACTING
The girls carried this drama! Especially Do Haeryung, Nari and last one is Seah. Haeryung's scenes are short, but that one in front of the phone was magical!
Nari's changes from lovestruck girl, to spoiled bitch, to guilty expression, to madwoman was fantastic!
And applause for the brother in law!!!! Oh I love watching his subtle changes in expression 😍 he is definitely the best actor and character here!

2. The story is more complete and make sense, it is more enjoyable.

I thought it would be scary, but not at all. I didn't scream or close my eyes. Smile is still the scariest for me 😅

Anyway this drama is recommended for those who like not scary horror and thriller with good acting.
Will I rewatch it? Nope.
If there is season 2 will I watch it? Nope.

There is mild bullying, not severe, not the focus. I even forgot about it.

She's got the best man who is mature and witty, crazy rich with stable job.
So happy for both, especially Minwawa. After her suffering and endless tears, she found happiness 🤧

He was just passing by bcos the place they were heading is still further from that farmhouse. It was raining and they needed a place to rest first. He didn't know whose place is that. Nothing more nothing less.

Nah. Scarlet Heart is time travel, this one is trans migration.
Scarlet Heart plot is the FL witnesses succession war while knowing exactly how it would end. The she returns to her modern time.
BOP plot is the FL strives to be the empress dowager by choosing the prince who is most suitable for her goal. On the way, the ML kills all the threats to clear the way for the FL.

Well I didn't mean to being rude. It's just everyone likes to point out " weird title" or "I can't with the title" or "I laughed reading the title". Isn't it good enough the title doesn't contain blossom, love, journey, legend, or moon?

Then after I found out about the meaning of the title, I was touched like "Wow they did some research to find the perfect english title that portrayed the leads!" While other drama are too lazy and recycle the same words.

Seems like you don't really understand the plots.

First:
Why ML had plan B which is to kill everyone in the farmhouse is bcos if the identity of the baby is known, then the baby will be dead. The baby is the ONLY surviving legitimate SON of his uncle, the Jiang family. ML at that time didn't know whether the owner of the farmhouse is trustworthy or not. He is suspicious by nature. His maternal family, Jiang family is in danger and at that time he didn't know what conspiracy is behind it.

Second:
The uncle is a famous general. It is very common when a figure has bigger influence than the emperor, the emperor will grow suspicious. Then it is easy to frame the person for treason or any other ridiculous reasons just to get rid of him. This is what the villains used. The Jiang family produced many powerful figures and the villains are afraid of their influence.
If you watched the drama, it was the empress who ordered to imprison the ML, not the emperor.
Also, the uncle is NOT dumb. He didn't know he would be killed.

Third:
The cousin is secretly in love with the FL, that's why he is jealous and hates the ML. He wants the FL to be safe, but can't reveal his plans to her.
Also, the "fate" you mentioned is about his premonition of what would happen that day. The meeting between ML and FL in the temple brought upon a second chance to the FL. This is why neither the ML nor her cousin remember about the past. FL also tried her best to avoid the ML bcos she didn't want to get involved in his affairs. The characters in the drama are those who are the most important ones and part of the plots. If those characters are cut again, then the drama would have nothing. The story is not about revenge, but to live and to have control of one's life.
