I don’t see this as a “it was all a dream” situation. When she goes to 1983 and her parents don’t exist, that’s a huge clue that this isn’t her original timeline. It feels more like a parallel universe where events are similar but not identical. That would explain the differences and also make the story more meaningful, because her experiences there are actually real, just in a different timeline.

The transmigration made the ending sad and confusing, even though the rest of the drama was so inspiring.
