In the novel, even Sikong Changfeng wasn't surprised by Baili Dongjun’s extreme measure to save YDZ. BDJ would go against the world if anyone tried to kill his best bud. Some may think BDJ is crazy for caring so much for an undeserving person, but I think BDJ lost Ye Yun once (childhood), so he cannot stand losing him again.

Oh people who read the novel and paid close attention to the dramas would understand how much YDZ means to BDJ. His childhood best friend.

The drama sticks to the novel in their brotherhood to the very end. Just because Baili Dongjun didn't talk about Ye Dingzhi in Blood of Youth doesn't mean he didn't care. BDJ has been heartbroken for too long, having lost his best friend and later his wife.

Baili Dongjun never gives up on his Ye Ge. Never. He's truly the only one who cares about Ye Dingzhi. No matter how many times he told Baili Dongjun to let go, he wouldn't. Such strong brotherly love. 🤧

He Yu’s acting as a dark character Ye Dingzhi is impressive. The pain and anger in his eyes and voice, I can feel it.

I don’t think YDZ could control it. He couldn’t heal BDJ because he could only absorb power. That’s why he told the first disciple to hurry up and transfer zhenqi to BDJ. If YDZ tries to do it, it will only kill BDJ faster.

I feel so bad for baby Ye Anshi. He has to witness bad things at such a young age.

I guess it’s to make her seem more pure-hearted, to be faithful only to one man in the eyes of the viewers at the expense of another character (Xiao Ruo Jin).

Indeed, it is a tragic family. Wuxin is my favorite character, and both of his parents abandoned him. He was still lucky enough to be raised well by the master monk because I think he would turn to the dark side if it wasn't for his wonderful master.

The drugging didn't happen in the novel, but regardless, it’s still her child she left behind. Either way, it’s all a sad situation.
