I just don’t understand it. Like after 3 years of watching almost exclusively C dram, I don’t get it. Money talks obviously, but the choices they make do NOTHING for the dramas. Isn’t it better overall to have a successful drama? Take Ace Troops for example-what did shifting the story to Gao Liang do for the drama? Did it make it inspirational? Was this a character you really had in your heart and wanted to see him succeed? He was a terrible leader and made poor choices constantly. We could all see who carried that drama. did the actor really benefit greatly from that whole debacle? I don’t think so…

I think it’s more like admiration on moms part. She’s looking at JB as a successful, stylish younger woman and probably wants to have some of that feeling for herself by being friends with her. We all know mom feels neglected and unseen and JB is someone who has made impacts in both son and husbands life. 🤷♀️
