Seems shellfish is okay but maybe not actual fish

I think he said during BCE filming cos he had to pick up a fish and put it in a bucket that he was a bit scared because he thinks he allergic. He had a reaction when he was younger. That’s why even tho he loves to fish never touched the fish and makes his staff do it 😅 but I’ve seen him eat shellfish so it seems it’s just fishy fish

Tell me where I said any of that. Those are all things that you are taking from my words. I certainly didn’t imply that he knew he would get famous or any of those things. All I was saying is that he wasn’t naive thinking it was going to be some fairytale.

There’s a difference between having an idea of what to expect and what actually happens of course. The point is,he wasn’t naively walking down this path with stars in his eyes and the thought of fame and fortune. I’m not sure why you want to insist that he’s so naive, bumbling his way through life, being easily led by others. Nothing about him gives that impression. He has made mistakes and there has been some misunderstandings but who hasn’t had that happen to them? The only difference is he is under a microscope.

Ummm in interviews when he was still a model he said that he didn’t think he would go into acting because he knew people in the industry and it’s not as good as people think it is. Yu Zheng doesn’t control everything, my goodness.

Yeah, I’m also worried his character will get sidelined but I am still excited to see HIM in the drama regardless. 🙂

It’s possible that this is all over thinking. I see it could be 1 of 3 scenarios.
1. He’s contractually obligated to promote the drama (most likely option)
2. If he is leaving Huanyu, then he has to do his own promotions now.
3. He is just genuinely looking to promote his character

All of this speculation about him staying or going is pointless. Only he knows what is best for himself. I know everyone seems to think he’s naive and being taken advantage of but he entered the industry with his eyes wide open. He knew before he ever signed with Huanyu what the industry was like. Only he knows what’s going on behind closed doors. Only he knows how he feels about everything. We can comment on what we see and say oh he’s being treated so badly etc but only he knows how he feels in his heart. If he chooses to stay, he has his own reasons. Trust that he knows what’s best. None of us are inside the industry.

I also find it confusing so I just shut off my brain and watch 😅sometimes the instructions are so confusing I think it’s more confusing with the translation. but they seem to know what’s going on 😄

idk what they’re waiting for. They have guaranteed hit with Spying just hanging out, they should have released it last month. who knows what they’re doing with this. I havent watched a drama on YOUKU in ages. Alaso posting clips on Weibo saying they want the drama. like seriously what are you waiting for?

It’s nice to see things like this. I feel that Kai never gets the recognition he deserves. Lately, in c-ent I can’t find many new dramas that interest me. I keep going back and re-watching Kai’s dramas. I need new stock lol

I thought I saw something about Albion event but maybe I’m wrong

it’s more episodes but basically they cut the original 1 ep a week into 2.

In some other episodes when Kai has noticed something or said a thought he has often been put down as being wrong, only to have been right later on. I’ve noticed it a few times, it’s like they look down on him. It bugs me too. He handles it so well- I would not 😅

I’ve said it before but I really appreciate how Kai always looks cheerful and is kind in his interactions when he is dealing with these kind of events. It seems like a no brainer to put your best foot forward when engaging with the public but I see so many other actors at events looking miserable and bored.

I think his biggest hurdle is confidence.

Agree that 800 is a showcase for his acting and I really liked the drama but if it’s just on feels then I have to go with no 1 in heart which is Bai Jue lol GYZ is fun and gets to show off that super cute side with some heavier moments. I also like Li Ni and thought Kai did especially well with those really heavy scenes in the eps 30-32 (I think).

It’s hard not to love Gu Yanzhen 🥰my favourite role tho is Bai Jue. GYZ second

Reservations are a measure of anticipation. They may help drive commercials and marketing but some of the most popular dramas of recent years did not have high reservations and exceeded expectations eg: The Double, The Glory. Look at how much hype there was for Overdo but the drama hasn’t actually met expectations in terms of story, fx etc.
