just because they spend loads of money on promotion doesn’t mean the drama will be a success. If a drama is good, people will watch. As for them announcing the release date, I also wouldn’t worry about that. It’s happened often enough that they’ve announced a drama to air on a date and then not wound up airing it on that date anyways 🙄 C-ent is messy, just go with the flow lol

No way. Han Ting was grounded in reality. As he said to her, he can’t ruin his company for personal feelings. Ji Xing was overly sensitive and had no business being in business lol

I don’t think YZM was mean. He hurt Chenghuan for his business needs, yes, but he did regret it. It was more about how he had been hurt and so he only cared about himself in the beginning. I’m excited to meet this Shen Run cos he seems quite different than Kai’s other costume roles 🤗a bit darker

That’s too much work 😅DotSE was the final drama of Kai’s for me to watch after I first discovered him. Everything else at the time was on Viki and Netflix. It was also during that little entertainment ban during aug-nov 2021. Back in June maybe, there had been a Tencent 10 yr anniversary show and they were promoting all the up coming dramas. That was my first time seeing Kai and I remembered being annoyed cos this guy kept coming on stage to promote all his dramas and the actor I was watching for hadn’t even been seen once 😅but they were promoting ALP and SAHPH and I thought they looked interesting and then that ban came and ALP was my saviour. Got hooked on Kai and he had enough dramas to keep me busy until finally new dramas starting dropping again.

By the time it airs it will be down to 10 eps 😅🫠

No, I mean in the dedicated iQIYI app. I pay for iQIYI already and Viki as well. I subscribed to iQIYI years ago to watch Dance of the Sky Empire of all things 😅

Thank you, I guess I was luckier than Kai as I was able to take like 16 weeks of bed rest to recover. But I still have lasting injury. From how Kai has spoken of his injury, it sounds very similar. Obviously, I can’t speak for him but I would say he is still quite young and physically fit so overall I’m sure he is ok just has some bad days. I can go long periods without issue and then all of a sudden, wham, it takes me out for a few weeks.

He’s worn it before. Unfortunately, back injuries are troublesome and can flare up from time to time. 🥲 (I have a similar injury since 2009).

I’m not sure if you meant it the way it sounds but it comes across like you think Kai should get back to work because you’re bored. If he is taking this time off because he wants a rest, you should be understanding. He’s worked non stop for years. If I could take 6 months off work, I would do it in a heartbeat. You don’t know what is happening behind the scenes. He may want to work but can’t, he may be preparing for a new role, there might be something going on in his personal life. He is a person not a thing.

Though I find this engaging, I don’t feel the comedy is as much as I was expecting based on trailers/hype. I’m not saying it isn’t funny I was just expecting it to be…more? Like if I think of a comedy cultivation drama then I would think of Once upon a time in Lingjian Mountain, which was completely unhinged or if comedy in general something like LLTG or this years No Pain, No Gain. like those ones I was laughing out loud, counting down the minutes to the next episode. I was just expecting this one to be a lot funnier 😗
