Can we all agree that 2022 is the best year for Cdramas🙈? honestly,I'm eager to see what 2023 has installed…
I wouldn't really say that. L&P was amazing but there was also tons of junk and propaganda drama. Reset and this one are the two that really stood out and were exceptional.
How this dude got so many main roles in high profile drama (such as Netflix ones) remains a mystery for me... when there are so many good actors out there.
His acting is mediocre. He looks good, but most actors do. Perhaps, he should quit the romance genre, Sweet Home is one of the few non romance drama he has done and I enjoyed his performance in it. Nevertheless, Love Alarm, etc., on the other hand, were horrendous.
I'm sure he can deliver better acting in other genres (thriller, mystery, etc.) but romance is not for him imo.
This was truly a masterpiece. I'm afraid we'll never get something like this anymore due to the insane censorship increase in China. It's a miracle that this was released with just 3 minutes censored. In 2022, I doubt it'd be allowed to release at all. :/
China has so much potential when it comes to movies/drama, sadly, due to censorship we have 99% of "immediately seen, immediately forgotten" comedy, romance or fantasy stuff.
Check the tag, it has also other countries. But yes, most of the propaganda content is from China.
Have you seen any american drama on this site? I don't think so, as it's only for asian stuff. So stop with the "double standard", there is none. There is no american drama on this website, so how could they be tagged as propaganda if they aren't there in the first place?
The fact is this drama is propaganda. Definition of propaganda: 'information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.'
It's a government-backed (so by definition, biased) drama that was made with the sole intent of praising Ping's policies (see the synopsis of each chapter) ahead of the party's congress (see broadcasting dates). Do you deny that?
It's true that the US also make propaganda stuff to praise the army (Top Gun, etc.) but at least they manage to make entertaining stories, unlike this or Hu Tong.
Lastly, in the US there are also movies criticizing the army (they don't get funding by the government but are allowed to be released) unlike in China where everything get censored. You aren't even allowed to make a thriller where the bad guy win or which portray the government in a bad light.

Drama that are made with the sole purpose of pushing a political opinion are propaganda, regardless of what country they come from.
I'm sorry to say this, but the large majority of them are from China. I haven't seen many J-drama glorifying the imperial japanese army or K-drama praising the authoritarian regime of Park Chung-hee in the 70s ...
Not saying there isn't any, but we're far from the hundreds of C-Drama produced with the sole purpose of promoting the Chinese Communist Party using well known actors.
Please let me know when it gets subbed.
I guess business / workplace settings are not really my thing.
I haven't read the webtoon, but I had a look at the wiki (https://weakhero.fandom.com/wiki/Weak_Hero_Wiki) and, except Gray Yeon, most main characters are different.

J-Drama almost always have 1 episode per week (and often a 30min one). This is true pain ahaha. xD

Can't wait to see the amazing red army soldiers against the evil Kuomintang ones.
I totally lost hope to ever watch this.
Too bad Jdramas only have 1 episode per week.
