It is so much better if you can understand the language. The sub couldn’t interpret the tone of voice, the poem, the art of hidden meaning, etc. especially historical drama, their sentence structure are different then the modern grammer.

When princess Zhao Hua and his mom Consort Li together, mom (Wu Jin Yan) looks younger then princess, lol. Nevertheless, I thought Rain did a good job for her role. 6 episodes easy watch. Wu Jun Yan and Nie Yuan (the emperor) still carrying the show, their acting provide some substance to the show. I recently finished watching The Story of Yanxi Palace, happy to see some of the veteran same casts such as the Eunuchs and the Consort mate.
