Green, lovely, calming story

Direct translation of the Chinese title to English is “That Person, That Mountain and That Dog”. This movie is so beautifully make. It must be in the Spring or Summer. So much green field. Make me want to go to the mountain.

I first come to this movie after watching Liu Ye other movies such as Lan, Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress, City of Life and Death and A Beautiful Life. Liu Ye was so young and attractive. That innocent pure smile and look would melt many hearts.

I have seen a Scandinavian and Ireland version of Postman deliver mail in a harsh winter and bicycle in difficult countryside. This movie is more about how the father tough the son the value of caring for people in the mountain. Not sure deliver the mail, but to connect with them. In the movie showed that there were time where the cars and road available, but the father insisted that they should continue walk the narrow path. The tradition continue. Many hard work, painful path and dangerous routes, but the father convinced the son that all the pain and sweat were worth it considered it touches human hearts.

The dog 老二, to me is the main charm of the movie. Smart, royal, cute and strong. Everyone love him. He did his job, he lead, he protect, he calls, he is so lovely.

All in all. A must watch old movie. Nowadays, with internet, people probably don’t write paper letter anymore. The communication happen instantly. Miss the good old day with holding the valuable letters…

I have so much fun watching this movie. The two main cast make it so smooth. Their connection were so flow and smooth. Sato Takeru just stood out. He is one of a kind actor. I was not Japanese manga fans before, but after watching this movie, I want to get into it. They make competitors into friendship and gave them a helping hands were super cool. The duo high school kids that are smart and talented in their own way. I have learned so much how the make of manga. So much effort into it. This is a fun, funny, crazy, heartwarming movie. Awesome Kung Fu fighting

Write this review because the last review was 6 years. I have not watch this kind of genre for s while. Kind of refreshing snd fun. If you are into martial art or action, this is a fun one to watch. I found this movie after watching Andy On on “Star Runner”. Started to search for his other project. His look was awesome. In this movie he looks like Brad Pitt. For people that not use to this kind of fist fight, it might be hard to watch. The last fight scene suppose to be gross, but I laughs so hard. Not sure why. Great watch.

If you like car, this movie definitely for you. If you not much into car or don’t know anything about car engine, like me, this is a very enjoyable movie.

The OST was so good. The first song st the beginning and the last song really fit the movie well.

The scenery was so beautiful. The high tech filming was unbelievable. The high angle down, the speed, the lightning, the editing was definitely the top notch.

I have only watch two race car movie that were really good. “Rush” F1 Formula. That was legend. Recently watch “Ford vs Ferrari”. When people talk about race cars, they think about Ferrari. This movie doesn’t have Ferrari, it has Japanese make cars. It has the same enthusiastic mechanics, the sponsors, the fans, the talents and style.

Now, lets talk about the acting. Mckenyu was the perfect choice for this role. He is the driving force for this movie. His eyes focus, bright, and full of desires. He looks good when he was angry, when he smile, when he was desperate, sad etc. he has they style, the energy, the charm and charismatic. I am dying looking at his muscular body. Then Takumi Kitamura, love his youth, his natural looking, gentle and pleasant look. Mashahiro playing big brother. Veteran actor. That film but soft facial tone portrait his role really well. Then young Keita, he probably not too famous back then. So four powerhouse Japanese actors in one movie. That was not to be miss. To be honest, McKenyu stole the show. That beautiful clear eyes and the body language was precious.

Overall, must watch. Love the 2 brothers downhill bicycles scenery. Among the Asian countries that can make professional race car movie well worth watching, it has to be Japan.

Zambie Vaccine

I have been watching Jung Jae Young movies lately. All his movies has different plots and storyline. Sometimes I thought he is the director. He is the King of action/thriller. I have to write review here, because we are all waiting for Covid vaccines. Watch this movie, hilarious. Have some laughs. At the end all the zombies line up get zombie vaccines. Really funny. Didn’t want to give away too much info.

By the way, If you like some action/comedy, JungJae Young has two other hilarious movies. Check it out.

Always love to be the first one to write review, especially if it is a good movie.

Currently there are “Black Life Matter” movement everywhere. My friend and I read the articles about “Chinese Massacre” and “Irish Slavery” it is so sad. Then I randomly found this movie. I have never seen both of the main leads before, but now I know. I have known of many Chinese originally came to America to work on railroad. Many decided to stay, many were killed, many got kick out of the town that against their color, sad history.

I was intrigue by the background of both main lead. Clara Lee born in South Korea, grew up in Switzerland. Gregorry Gao born in Taiwan, grew up in Canada. I have been to the town he attended college and his mother came from the town I was born. Both main leads can speak multiple languages. Really amazing.

I did not give 10/10 for this movie because I thought some of the acting are not very real. The main male leads being Chinese was taller then the white American. The last scene, the violence people just stood there let those Chinese walk away?

Nevertheless, watch this movie. It us on Amazon Prime and Tubi TV app now.

Lastly- RIP Goffery Gao. You will be miss. Such prominent young man.

Another Kong Sang Ho movie. His acting is confirmed to be good. No doubt a versatile actor. One of the best Korean actor.

The movie show a regular office workers that has been struggling and unhappy with job and life overall. Getting into evening sport somehow gave him sense of purpose and so much confident for his day job. Physical sport is not the strength of office worker, but his practice and determination put himself into the ring fight. He wasn’t the best, but he just keep going.

For people that have not gotten use to watching or involve in the ring fight, it might be hard to watch so much body slamming and hurting, wonder how a person can survive such horrible body damage.

Watch it as pure entertainment, its all just acting. It shows a day job office worker were able to stood up again his supervisor bully. He finally face those street bullies. . . He is still not perfect, still clumsy, still awkward toward ladies, still not success. I like that this movie is very raw and not making the main actor into a big hero or ultra unbelievable success.

Beautifully filmed movie. Sweet. I was hoping for romance. Keep waiting but not happen.
The cooking make me hungry. I have to pause and make ramen. Wish I am so talented cook like her.
The artistic filming of everything nature remind me of movie “Spring, Summer, Falls, Winter and Spring” (Korean film) and “The Scent of Green Papaya” (Vietnamese film).
Kim Tae Ri is undeniable one of the young talented beautiful smart Korean actress.
Rye Joon Yeol, the male lead on “Money” and “Replay 1988”, he is very raw and natural, like next door brother. Love his deep voice.

I am very critical on acting and story line. Not really have patient to sit on the chair watch some lacking weak acting movie. This movie had me sit on the chair and even after the movie. When I have friend ps asked for Chinese movie recommendation. I had them watch this one. The only actor I know is Tony Leung. He was famous in Hong Kong. Now that he is older, he played serious role. The young female lead actress is the one lead the movie. Here. Not going to give spoiler here, but this is the movie that will make you want to know next, what happen next, heart beating fast, one unexpected scene for Asian film :)=. This is the movie thst you and your friends will have some discussion after the movie end.

After watching Park Shin Hye in The Heirs. I felt like she is leading the film and Kim RaeWon was just following her lead. A few romantic scenes was a little awkward to see. Rae Won just look much older then ShinHye. Like she is kissing her brother. Park Shin Hye, to me, look older when her hair. Is long. When she played high school girl, short hair would have been more convincing. Her friend Moon Ji In thought to play her role really well. I don’t know much about the brain surgery, but glad they show the actors actresses spent time scrubbing before enter the operating room.
