4 eps released so far - I never think I have binged something this passionately for many years. I almost started the next episode before even finishing the one I was watching... lol. This drama pulls you in like NO OTHER SHOW no joke, even more than the UK original. The tension is out of this world, helped by the amazing BGM and high level cinematography. It even gave me some pretty serious anxiety to only imagine that I was the ML and this was happening to me because everything feels so extremely REAL. If you have anxiety I have to give a bit of a warning for this show, there are also some really dark and twisted scenes later to watch out for if you are sensitive. The ML lead is a naive collegue student and people complain that hes crying alot, after basically being thrown into HELL and being toyed around with by all kind of people he has never seen before, some by violence - and have to experience some really brutal/sick things later on. Also, many many many naive young students would have done exactly the same thing as he did after "what happened".
Its really interesting that ViuTV and Coupang goes for this ultra realistic, dark and brutal content in their first big investment, and even allowing full frontal nudity etc, which would never would happen on other platforms or cable tv. Lets see where this goes.
Rating so far 10/10, probably gonna end up as the drama of the year.
Well I am on episode 2 of Hellbound , but can anyone one tell me why people are disappointed with the Hellbound…
Poorly told/written/edited and directed. Probably a long covid break messed up things alot. One of the worst kdramas of the last 5 years or so imo, and its not very hard to understand. And this comes from someone who really wanted to love it.
Its a raw and important drama, probably exactly this is happening in the korean army today - but I found it a bit boring and dragging even if its only 6 episodes. Because of the short running time you get no connection to the main characters either - and the cases were not that interesting except the last one which was pretty tense. Yes, the last episode is good. But you can't rate a whole series based on the last episode.
All in all I would give this a 7/10. If you changed Jung Hae in to for example Kim Eun Soo (you can search on his name on MDL, he was in "Youth of May"), I can promis that the rating wouldnt be this high. People will hate me for this just my 2 brutally honest cents.
This drama was so crazy that I actually loved it. Just don't think too much and enjoy the rollercoaster of happenings. Ignore the low reviews for this one. If you like this type of story its a must watch, trust me. Underrated.
They killed the whole series with this season imo. At least it was better than the terrible season 3. Just let it go now. Its over, no more Voice please.

I miss watching Ji Jin Hee in something really good.
