I know... I sound pessimistic, but after watching (completed) and reading (not interested) hundreds of Cdramas I have seen and read any bizzare endings in Cdramaland. I used to watch dramas once they were completed, and I ONLY watched happy ending or positive open ending. But since now I shifted to watch currently airing dramas, I have to prepare for the worst scenarios. Then when the ending is better I will just say "oh it's not too bad" or "Yay" for a happy ending. Or if the ending is bad I will say "well, what to expect in Cdramas?" That way, I will survive and keep my sanity in Cdramaland, cos I watch more Cdramas than dramas from other countries.
