Hey Cho Na, thanks for the heads up on your article (and cool that you quoted the synopsis from https://chdramacorner.blogspot.com/2022/05/heroes-2022-synopsis.html…
Thanks for finding the summary. I, too, love good summary as I hate misleading ones. I rather read a long one that probably is the summary of the whole drama aka spoiler. Especially if the story line turns ugly later, I need to be informed before deciding to watch it.
Unless for mystery and crime genres, their synopsis are better left as vague as possible.
Lol... can't help to put the scene where SMZ and YWX looking up at BCF 'swimming'. Their facial expressions are just perfect.
I also watched till Ep 30. I think editing is the weakest in this drama that makes the story all over the place.
Before watching this drama I actually dug a little bit about the original source, Say Hero Who is Hero, that is actually a series of 10 books. Without a great screenwriter, the plot will be all over the place as you mentioned.
Did not like the fighting scenes, it's below average like every other shows now so I don't blame them about that.…
In the same Chinese article I read, that was written after their booting ceremony, people were worried when knowing Li Mu Ge directed this one as he never directed wuxia before. Yeah, I agree with you they spent too much money on the pretty stuff as I mentioned above instead of hiring the best martial arts director or trainers to train the actors. Nothing personal against the Arts Design Director tho.
Thank you for a great article listing the pros and cons. I was on the fence of whether to watch this or not, as…
Sorry for the late reply, I was busy in IRL. In the same article I read, people were worried when knowing Li Mu Ge would directed this show as he's never made a wuxia before. So, I guess his other drama Good Bye My Princess is not wuxia although on MDL is categorized as one? (I don't watch that one)
Anyways, I wished that he spent that big of a budget during filming to make great action scenes instead of pre-production (costume, prop, set, etc).
I find this drama very hilarious! I watched "I Am Not a Robot" so long ago that I wonder if scenes were in the…
I love your statement "I wouldn't compare versions as I wouldn't compare my children."
I notice romcoms don't usually turn out sad endings, tho probably open endings. So, yeah, like you I don't think this one. I have watched till Ep 27 and actually I found more screen time between the couple after the truth is revealed.
Forgot what is in Ep 14 tho... I have short term memory due to too many dramas, lol
INAR was my first drama and I really really loved it. This one just frustrates me, honestly. Confession: I never…
Sorry for the late reply, I was busy in IRL. Yes, I agree with you that Connor Leong did a great job as I watched him in 2 other dramas too after MG 2018 and besides this one, and he did pretty good bringing his characters alive.
What's PPL? I feel like I should be able to figure it out, but I'm drawing a blank.
Product Placement. Advertisement inside a drama using the story line. Like a character drink a branded beverage, etc. In Kdramas the characters used to meet at Subway.
Thank you for this article. I watched IANAR very recently and I loved it. I fell in love with the male lead because…
If you watch it recently probably you should wait for sometime to get the memory fades away. I watched INAR in the mid of 2019, but I watched a LOT of dramas, so by the time I'm watching it now I forgot some details. I feel like watching a spin off. Some details in this drama are different and the second half the story line (I watched up-to-date till Ep 27) surprisingly changes.
I love Sun Qian, but i need to pass for now, since I Just watched INAR a day before they premiered this remake,…
lol... yeah, if you just watched it, it will be hard not to compare/contrast or to get bored although there are differences. I usually don't even watch the same actors back to back since I still remember the previous roles.
Gosh, I was not even born and raised in the era where the wuxia actors are actually learned martial arts!

I wish Wang Juan wrote the script... :(
