When MDL first started there were many talks and articles written on Jdramas and movie compares to others with the exception of Korean. So automatically way back then MDLers wrote about Japanese actors/actresses. As one commenter also wrote here, there were more Japanese-English subbers so it was easier to watch Jdramas/movies. We can write updates on the same people if there are many changes.

I actually saw this house twice, I don't remember the name of the other lakorn. It belongs to a veteran actor who always plays either uncle or bad guy lol. There is a YT video on an interview about the house and how he takes care of the garden. It's quite common houses owned by people in entertainment industry are rented for film settings.

Yeah, the demographic in MDL I can roughly define as: romance drama watchers, younger generation (since MDL was born in 2011) average age 20-30, Kdramas (and lately Cdramas), eye candy fans, but most importantly watch dramas with English subs (minimal) available easily ;D

No, I don't have JoL withdrawal syndrome cos I read the novel so I know Fan Xian and Wan'er will be together in the end safe and sound lol. I like Mao Ni (the novel author), I read his other novel Ever Night too. It's a good thing you read the novel. Mao Ni has the gift in writing such philosophical themes. But I also give up reading novel/manga from where dramas are based on. Many times the storyline/ending is changed and I may be disappointed.

After watching hundred of Cdramas, I made up my mind to give up with any sequel. Every time it ends up with cliffhanger, or even if they said there will be sequel or season 2, I treat it like it ends there. Either you'll wait for a long time or it never happens, lol

Binge-watching rules! Although feels lonely since the watch party is over everyone seems have moved on... but I think it's healthier for our emotions in dramaland, lol.

Cdramas with 28 episodes are also quite common. So either they dragged it with 1 extra episode, or cut the longer episodes down... we'll see ;D

Though waiting since 2019, just don't have a high expectation as usual with Cdramas ;D

If you like One and Only, its sequel Forever and Ever will be premiered on September 9. But there was no release date when we submitted the article.

The dramas listed are either popular or awarded. According to Wikipedia, Kame is awarded as Best Actor in the12th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix (Winter).

Since the likes are given by MDLers that is an international community, it makes sense if Sato is placed quite high. RK movies are all in Netflix and that's where MDLers mostly watch as the legal platform.

Yes I heard that there are more fansubbers in the past. Now, it's quite hard to find fansubbers. Some are not happy either since they subbed a drama half way and then it was picked up by Viki or Netflix. So they dropped their projects and viewers moved to those platforms. I cannot even mention fansubber website when I write recap articles on Jdramas or Thai dramas, though they are the only ones who sub the dramas.
