Ohhhh...a friend recommended that drama to me. I am starting with S1 as I have not caught it. I think I will have a nice continuation into S2 without having to wait. And I am enjoying it so far.

And maybe I will go read the LYF novel. I feel cheated by how the characters were portrayed in the drama. Jing is not a weak puppy, there has to be more to FengLong & XinYue than what we see. CX is probably a more rounded character in the novel. And I want to see Jing's and XL's friendship and respect for each other. I love the 2 of them and I don't think any man in their right mind will push their beloved to a man they do not find worthy to replace himself with.

Sighs... TH, we know XL is your favourite child, but you also need to be fair to the rest of the kids right? smh. LOL

I have not read the novel now, but based on what the forum has been discussing, S2 deviated from the novel.

They made Jing look extra weak. XY did not marry a weak loser stalker guy. Jing is an intelligent person who cares deeply for XY. There are scenes which were meant for Jing in the novel, they took it and gave it away to other characters. And many things when compared to the novel does not add up.

What I did not like was that the alterations made did not do justice to all the characters.
