I had so much fun watching the ML hurt himself while trying to hurt her - I couldn't stop laughing. And then episode…
@fyra I almost felt sorry for 7th prince in EP 5. The way he said this is the 3rd time with lipstick all over his lips was hilarious. And FL being all nonchalant about it. Hmmm....who is the maiden here? 🤣😂🤪
Do you think they will end up together in the end? They make a cute match.
Ngl, I had such a hard time trying to get into this drama; episode 1 and 2 took me forever to watch. I almost…
High 5 @fyra!
Same here, I nearly gave up after EP 1 & 2. Thought I would give it a chance and the next day skipped right to EP 8 and was thoroughly entertained. Went back to EP 3 and realized it is where the story picks up. I am enjoying it so much now. I am glad I came back to give it another chance in EP 8.
I guess these characters are following the original bad script. The ML was originally written as a jerk in the…
In the original script, ML was written as a villain and a jerk who used and caused FL's death. Yes, even now, ML has been trying to kill FL to silence her because she knows too much about him all thanks to her reading the script before falling into this alternate universe.
I think the comedy is in how the script forces him to save her now that it is the sassy actress who is in their world and not the original character. LOL Looking forward to see how all these events unfold.
Sigh! I think my prediction of General Chu becoming the main villain is going off, especially the 2 fire incidents…
Same...I am guessing it is either General Chu is the actual villain or it was a misunderstanding between 7th Prince and General Chu or FL's dad is the villain or someone in the royal family. May 18th prince isn't as ditsy as he portrays himself to be? For now it is still hard to say who is the villain. Yes, script writer is the villain did cross my mind too.
How can anyone even defend the ML after he tried to kill the FL so many times?
I guess these characters are following the original bad script. The ML was originally written as a jerk in the script.
With the FL now in the story and slowly changing the narrative, a different story emerges. But I am guessing certain drama rules are in place like the ML will always save the FL from danger, and probably ML and FL will end up together rule. It is getting ridiculous and hilarious, and LYN looks dope as a villain.
I did not like EP 1 and 2 but enjoying it now. Which episode are you at?
You are not alone on that thought. I too think that both Jing and XL are special to XY. She loved them both but…
All good, Kokuto. The LYF page does get a little too passionate at times. After every round of discussion, people are looking like war-battered soldiers returning from the battlefield. 🤕🩼🩹😅
I’m seriously considering putting up a “No Slapping of Cheeks” sign. 😂
Now that it's clarified, let's move on and enjoy the discussions. =)

My pleasure.
Everyone is very passionate here and it was a misunderstanding regarding Sunshine75. Now that it's cleared up, let's move on and enjoy the discussions. =)

I understand that Sana’s wording — “I think sunshine can't move on from their childhood special moments” — might have been interpreted as personal, but I believe Sana was referring to how past character scenes might shape someone's interpretation, not as a critique of sunshine75 personally. To clarify, “their childhood special moments” refers to CX and XY’s shared past — not sunshine75’s own childhood.
Yes, it’s easy to misread tone in text, especially during passionate fandom discussions. We’re all here because we care deeply about the story and its characters, so let’s give one another a bit of grace — and steer the conversation back to the drama when things get tense. If something seems unclear, let’s ask for clarification rather than assume intent. A bit of mutual understanding goes a long way in keeping this space open and welcoming for everyone.
That’s all from me on this — let’s enjoy the discussions. =)

Hey Kokuto, I’ve reread this thread, and I honestly don’t see where Sana made any personal attacks toward sunshine75. The only comment was a differing interpretation — that sunshine75 may be attached to CX and XY’s special childhood moments. That’s not a personal attack; it doesn’t insult sunshine75, it’s just a perspective. Unless you’re referring to something else?
It’s great to see the LYF page active again — it’s been a long time since we’ve had this level of engagement. It would be a shame for things to return to the kind of tension we saw in the earlier days.
We all love this story for different reasons. Some feel Jing was the love of XY’s life, others see XL as the love she couldn’t hold on to, and some believe CX had the deepest connection. None of these views are wrong — they’re just different, and that’s what makes the conversation meaningful.
Let’s keep things respectful so everyone feels safe to share.
i'm probably in the minority who thinks xiao yao loved both jing and xiang liu *by the end of the story*, just…
You are not alone on that thought. I too think that both Jing and XL are special to XY. She loved them both but loved one more than the other. And depending on which POV, one is romantic love the other is less romantic love.
Cang Xuan and FengLong are definitely out of the romantic race because XY sees CX as a relative, familial love and it's a "bromance" or diplomatic relationship between XY and FL for their respective country / clan.
Honestly, Tushan Jing (Deng Wei) deserve the love. He’s the quiet strength, Tushàn Jing is gentle calm kind…
Based on the drama, yes, Jing chose to hire someone else to crash XY and FL's wedding. Maybe Jing lacked the physical strength to act directly, maybe he prioritised political peace, or maybe it was to protect his reputation. There are many possible motivations — just as there are with Xiang Liu.
At the core of it, regardless of what XL may have felt, he accepted payment of 37 years’ worth of supplies for his army in exchange for disrupting and stopping the wedding of the woman he supposedly loved. That doesn’t mean he did not feel for XY, but it does complicate the narrative. Love typically doesn’t come with invoices.
So if we’re open to interpreting XL’s motives beyond the transaction, then it’s only fair to extend the same to Jing. Otherwise, we’re just romanticising one character while vilifying another. If we’re willing to consider one character’s reasons, we should be equally fair in considering the other’s.

Maybe it's a break? Or waiting for the other actors to come on board? 🤔
He has a weak throat no thanks to Hou. LOL
What is the name of the drama?

I felt that FL got her "punishment" in the novel. LOL
