Ohhh...another Marquis fan. I like this character too. It is not right he killed ZH's family and fellow disciples who are kids. But with everyone being so grey, I kinda suspect there is more to the story of the entire family being killed. I suspect ZH's father having a deeper secret. The Marquis is a cool villain, that jailbreak and fight scene with the son is just 🤌. He exited with a BANG. 👏

Regarding duke's wives and kids, I agree he ruined ZZX and his mum in his quest for power by marrying Jiang Xiang as his principle wife. She was a horrible woman and took the opportunity to drive that wedge between Duke and his 2nd wife.
Jiang Xiang and her son's end are in part of their own doing and not 100% on the duke. Theirs was a marriage for power and Jiang Xiang spoilt her own son rotten and never stopped his corrupt practices. If the duke didn't care about ZZF morals, as ZZF's doting mother, she could have stepped in, but she didn't. I felt bad for ZZF, but they reaped what they sowed.

Yeah, agreed. This show is so good, characters are grey, cinematography is beautiful. Argh...nothing but praise for LZH. I just finished the epic battle of the duke. I liked the way they ended the arc for him. It was a cool and solid exit. I felt so sad for ZZX. Poor boy, all alone in the world now. Dreadful father, yes, but he was the only parent he had left. Duke was better at leading armies than dealing with his family matters. 😓
When ZZX asked ZH, are you happy now after what happened. Dang. Twist that knife in deep.
