Sighs...I tried watching a new drama, Destined. Again, I could not complete / follow it through.
I am not sure if it was Song Yi's way of portraying her character or what is it about her character that irks me. I cannot empathize with her character and think she is so overboard in the way she deals with her playboy husband. She wants her dignity, but she tramples over his dignity. Making one's husband grovel in public, starving him etc is not what a strong woman is about despite the best intentions. I wanted to stop at Episode 3 but was asked to give episode 4 a chance. Episode 4 turned out to be the nail in the coffin. Sure, maybe it was the script, maybe it was the director, but it is an actor's job to pull the audience into the story, like how Xixi and LuLu pull us in with their portrayal of TTJ and LSS, even Chun Tao the maid pulled us into the story. Yes ,TTJ did bad stuff and was borderline psycho...but we felt for him. That is some good acting!
No hate to SY, but the bar is raised so high after watching Xixi and LuLu's portrayal of their characters. I hope SY does a better job with her character in our Xixi's "Follow Your Heart" otherwise it's going to be fast forward for all of her scenes.

Some things just don't change. LOL What did they teach TTJ during his time as a disciple of Xiao Yao sect? He has become so cheeky. Remember he used to be so tongue tied in the beginning and did not know how to retort LSS? 😍😂🤡

The FL cried for most of the second half of the show. I am cringing hard and pressing the fast forward. Stop crying already and tell the man what you want. Yikes! He already asked you so many times. Tell him!! ARGH!
