Title The Atypical Family
In my opinion, the main character's family is also cheating. Their wealth isn't owed to work or fortunate circumstances, but rather to the gift of clairvoyance possessed by the mother. Her prophetic dreams give her a tremendous advantage over ordinary mortals. This isn't fair competition. The grandmother uses her power solely to increase her wealth, rather than trying to prevent misfortunes that she knows will happen. Only her son has worked as a fireman, the rest lead rather idle lives. She also attempts to exploit the financial status of the main female character, treating her as a mere tool. She's meant to be a remedy for her lonely, unhappy son's troubles. She doesn't require her to love her son, only to care for him and his daughter. Essentially, she wants to buy a wife for her son and make a deal with her. It's no coincidence she mentions that her son will inherit the gym after marriage. She lures her victim with money because she herself does not see her son's qualities and only constantly chastises him. Therefore, the alleged "mother" FL despises this family has set them as her target. According to her, all their diseases consume them because they can afford to suffer; as they do not have to work hard to earn a meagre living. In fact, the family of the 'scammers' work for their money. They spend a lot of time and effort to take over the assets of their victims. And they do it in a legal way (a court case), taking advantage of other people's weaknesses and despicable characters. We also do not know what they do with the money so acquired. Perhaps they have some larger goal in mind than just the desire for quick enrichment. Both families are atypical, and it takes one to know one.
