I finished watching all the episodes. This is my opinion. The fiction isn't bad totally. Yes, there are certainly some flaws: the story doesn't unfold evenly; some parts are quite boring, while others are more interesting and dynamic. Probably the public opinion of the fiction was likely affected by the long wait between the end of filming and the actual broadcast. Yes, some characters are a bit flat, while others are better fleshed out. The strong point is the cast—they are very talented. In my opinion, Deng Wei did an excellent job portraying and constantly sneaking between the two characters, confirming his great acting ability (I confess I watched the fiction for him). I also really appreciated the actor that played the Old Zheng. I loved the interactions among the three old men (especially the intense scene where two of them beg for mercy regarding the body of their friend, the Old Zheng). Above all I liked the relationship between the grandson and the grandfather (Deng Wei and the Old Zheng); it was portrayed particularly well. See you everyone for the next series.
I'm still at episode 23 but I had fun until now. The actors and actresses are very good. I love Deng Wei, he shows strong acting skills in the two characters. He nailed Lou Qi Yan so well. It's a pity he is involved not a lot as actor. I'll finish the remaining episodes
