I think they trying to do the same trope like in Business proposal with Seol InAh but she ate that role and left no scrumbs IMO the actor that plays SML I saw him first time in my Dearest as the Crown Prince he has the shops and Im not sure about her tho....that's my only issue other than that the drama is great tho.....I even like that the SML has those sparks over DaRim

I know some didn't want the friendship to become romantically, but I think that was already there ML and the connection with the fake marriage trigger SeonU to make it clear he had feelings and I enjoy him stressing ML lol

I do love the first couple a lot a lot and that trope he is the rich chaebol but he has been smitten by her since episode 1 so he is like the SML syndrome right now can't do nothing romantically but just protect her physically and emotionally oh an support her at the job place, and I like the trope of the second couple I just don't feel the actress feel the role very well tho IMO, like SeolInah did in Business Proposal tho....she definitely did that trope effortless.....

I understand him, he probably had those feelings but just hide them because of his circumstances and the friendship he never wanted to cross that bridge, but the appearance of the ML and the opportunity to fake marriage trigger him to experience something he might never have so I kind of enjoy the chaotic scenario right now.....

Yeah I loved everything but I can't even ship her with Seon U for some reason either like right now that we know he has some sparks for Da Rim and Im not into triangles but I like this sandwich without the SFML lol but that's just me lol

Today episode was hilarious!

I didn't see many negative comments until last week, first 2 weeks show was only positive, so I guess there goes the dropping of one point but still strong in many platforms last week was top 10 in USA that for a weekly drama says a lot....so far anything about 8.3 these days is fine with me, specially when I love a drama.

I think it is not MDL who releases the news is different people writing the articles MDL contributors and Mods just approve them.

BTW I love your profile picture DG is one of my favorite characters....I actually have one of the original books I found it a flea market in South Jersey like 20 years ago....got for a few bucks dont know how much it cost now but it's being in my living room for years.

I NEVER said mediocrity, I just don't see what you guys are seeing that's my point and tried to put it into your views what to expect from rom-coms, I don't see the bad writing because for me this is a first one where the ML for some reason becomes the SML just to protect the MFL since he can't get involve romantically with her because yes, the "fake marriage is there" but it is not with the ML but with 2MLD so again, I am not belittling this rom-com for the contrary in my tiny little brain I found it hilarious, amusing and the male leads acting and comedy delivery on point. The first 2 episodes were not even mentioned in the synopsis the rest of the story was, it got us all by surprise lol even the ones that been following this drama since it was announced we thought those scenes were for later but it actually set the tone for the rest of the episodes because we were scratching our heads on how they were going to make the ML fall for her since she was married and with a child...but the 2 episodes first it now makes sense, now we will just follow the ML act like the SML in his own drama since he can't be romantically involved because of her "fake" situation......

K-Rom Com they throw all the tropes just different execution, different acting. You either like it or not.

Well I don't agree with you either, because if you want good writing in a 14 episode rom-com half budgeted Kdrama that's high expectations this are freaking commercial series for the average individual looking for escape from reality, if you want good writing then just go watch (read) a book even Hollywood movies streamed for theaters bored the hell out of me, Ive watched movies and series all my life Im 50+ mostly Americans first and for the last 15 years Asians and Turkish, because I like stories. And I watch them to entertainment never I give too much thought to comedies in particular they supposed to make me laugh, if they have romance to make me swoon, etc. how they do it I don't care....unless is a biopic then I go into details etc.

ps: Also if you dont like i, be it, the example the poster is giving about the papers thrown at the water for me it makes sense if you see it from Darims perspective they worked for days, the notes they all put in there were all there her team her first team, she felt bad not for her but for her team so hell yeah Ill go and catch every single of the papers but Im not Darim lol but anyways not everything is for everybody's taste there are many rom-coms praised for many and I dont like them not the writing because again they all cliches but for me a rom-com works with good execution with the comedy delivery and the chemistry the writing is a plus so far I just go with the flow and Im loving this, for some this might not be their cup of tea just drop it, that's what I do when something doesn't work for me.

This is the problem when you overanalyzed a freaking rom-com lol you already know what to expect, tropes, cringiness, nothing new just same format different actors and different direction....for me rom-coms are supposed to be silly and I don't fry my brain with them I just go on with the ride, a melo, thriller, drama, historical or something like that then ok let's go over it.....but a romance comedy...come on!

No I think he was more like a sexual person not real sparkling romance since he was more into being successful also he has parenthood trauma, so Im guessing he had never been into real romance.

He is not toxic he is hurt but he doesn't know how to deal with the heart pain and deception when he fell hard for her and she seemingly saw him as a fling.
