If you are easily frustrated by the endings which let you imagine what it gonna happen next, do not watch this drama unless the second season already came out.

Princess Agents must be one of the best chinese historical drama I've watched so far. Everything was awesome : the story was well balanced between love and the political plots.
Chu Qiao is oustanding, she is strong but at the same time weak and fragile. Yuwen Yue and Yan Xun are as convincing as her. The second leads were good as well.
Some characters were getting on my nerves, such as the princess or the king, but I couldn't hate them. She's just a poor soul lost in this cruel world and he's just afraid and scared.

I really hope they will make a second season. This drama definitely deserves a second season !

Watched. Rewatched. And will probably watch it a third time.
I hear your voice is in my top3 K-dramas.

Because the romance is lovely.
Because the suspense caught me so bad, I watched the drama in two days. I felt like I couldn't breath during the whole thing.
Because the story is original.
Because I loved the "bad" character. I could not hate him.
Because all the characters convinced me.
Because I got scared, I laughed, I cried. I felt so many emotion watching this drama.

Because the message behind this drama (aka main actress' mom) is beautiful and true.

One of the best Lee Jong Suk drama.
If the beginning was a little weak to me, a little clumsy, the rest of the show is outstanding.
Romance lovers, you will be satisfied. Fantasy lovers, you will be satisfied. Comedy lovers, you will be satisfied. If you are seeking for suspense, you will be satisfied as well. This show has everything for itself.

The main characters are no weak nor strong. They are human and don't have all the clichés characteristics lots of characters have in K-dramas.

The OST is incredible and I keep listening to it occasionally.

I will definitely rewatch it.

I'm so disapointed. I read so many good reviews before starting watching Lan Ling Wang, but it seems like I expected way too much...

The story itself isn't bad. The story actually had a great potential, but...
1- Everything was so predictable. I felt like I could predict what the main female character was going to do two episodes before. Hence, I kind of got bored quickly. The episodes are insipid, there's nothing interesting happening.
2- I was disapointed by Lan Ling Wang as well. I thought he was an intelligent man, but from episode 20 to 27, he behaved to stupidily, like what the heck, is he dumb !? And of course Xue Wu forgave him right away even if he did not deserve her forgivness.
3- The main villain of the story, Crown Prince is...... I don't even know how to describe him. He is just not charismatic. I know he is supposed to be the bad AND stupid guy but I really found him useless. Bad characters are supposed to be sadistic or weak and manipulated by some even worse characters. But Crown Prince was none of those.

The ONLY good point of this drama was YUWEN YONG, the emperor. I found him awesome. So strong, but so weak. So cold but so soft. He is not not nice since he is the emperor and has to have his hands dirty but he has a heart. He was so fascinating that he should have been the main male character, instead of Lan Ling.

I stopped watching at episode 30 and I don't know if I'll keep watching this drama. But If I really do, it would be 100% only for Yuwen Yong.

Surely a masterpiece you should watch if you like historical dramas.
It is one of the most complete drama I've watched so far.

The romance is nice, realistic and definitely convinced me.
The politic plots were interesting, got all my attention caught during the fifty one episodes.

The main actress honestly is behind the success of this drama. She is everything insipid. I found her strong. I found her weak. I found her loved and loveable. I found her cruel and nice. Ambitious. I found her very realistic.

Don't be afraid of the 51 episodes, the time you'll spend watching it worth it.

It was my very first time watching a drama about god, goddess and immortals. I really enjoyed watching it even if I wish I didn't watch the trailer and read the synopsis before since they spoil the 30 first episodes. Which is a real pity.
If the 15 first episodes were nice : they kind of settle down eveything and the love story between A-Yin and the second prince made me cry, haha ; I got bored from ep 15 to 30 (particularly from 20 to 30). They are basically showing how Ye Hua and Susu misunderstand each other, thing they could have avoid with more communication and trust.
The episodes 30 to 58 were great though.

The chemistry between Ye Hua and Bai Qian was great, I don't have anything more to add, but I was amazed by the one between Dong Hua and Feng Jiu. Feng Jiu's sincerity touched me and I loved to see how Dong Hua opening up to her, episodes after episodes. Wish this couple was even more developped though.

This drama miss some scenes to me though, such as the one the Heanvely God meets Bai Qian with her Qing Qiu identity. I was really looking forward to watching this scene but it sadly never came.

I don't think I'm going to rewatch this drama but who knows, maybe I will, in one or two years.

If some people found the end sappy, compared to all the Chinese historical dramas, the end is very happy to me ! Don't be afraid and go watch it !

I sincerely liked this drama but at the same time, I found a lot of missing points.

The story is very original. It talks about the inner palace, the emperor's harem. This harem is evocated plenty of time in the historical dramas but never this deeply. It was very interesting to see how everything was organized, how the hierarchy used to work etc.
Even though it is not that original anymore in Cdramas, I still really appreciated to see how our main female character was ambitious, clever and independent. Some people say she was way too kind and nice, but I do not agree. Well, actually I agree she was too nice but, it was one of the most important characteristic of her personality : the naive girl, living in this cruel and heartless palace. So it was necessaire.
The Bromance between Ah Zhan and Ah Yan really touched me. The love they have for each other is pure and I really appreciated watching it staying intact during the whole show.
The romance between Ah Zhen and Ah Zhan was awesome, I loved to see how the evolved : Ah Zhen being first very jealous and then, learning how to stay calmer, to make wise decisions etc. and Ah Zhan being over protective, becoming insane because Ah Zhen is dying but learning to give his woman more liberties. I also really liked how this couple was realistic, how their feelings become deeper with time, how they get to know each other better through the arguments and how they learn to tolerate each other, to understand each others' feelings.
Even though the romance between the Imperial Consort and the Emperor was not the main subject and not very developed, it was nice as well.
For the Emperor's mother, I was honestly quite disappointed. There are so many bad queen dowagers in Cdramas ! I feel like there's really an overdose ! And at the end of the show, this character becomes even more cliché and annoying. (But I really liked the actress !)

I felt like there were TOO MANY GIRLS in this drama. Normal fact since it takes place in the harem, but still. I'm not saying there were not enough handsome guys but it kinda made the drama a little unbalanced and I felt like there was something missing. It is really a shame.

For the ending, it is not sad nor happy. But the happy wins over the sad. So don't be afraid and go watch it !

It was globally a good show and I don't regret watching the 59 episodes. However, I don't think I would watch it again.

My favorite k-drama. I said it.

The plot caught me so bad.
But this show wouldn't be so good without this amazing cast.
I had a love at first sight for Doctor's son. The actor was made for this character. He was so mysterious, so dark and charismatic. Even kneeling, he kept his dignity.
The main actress wasn't bad and was pretty.
But GOD, the second leads were ALL outstanding. I feel like they completely played with my heart during the whole show. I hated them. Loved them. Wished them to die. Wished them to live. They tortured me.

There was not enough romance and felt so frustrated. But well, if there was more romance, the show wouldn't be so dramatic and dark. So it is forgiven.

The ending got me as well. I hated it but, at the same time, liked it. There was, honestly, no other ending possible.

Nice drama to watch.

Nothing more to add. The drama is not ambitious nor extraordinary but will still makes your heart flatter. I spent a nice time watching it even if the last episodes were a little "wtf" to me.
The romance is cute, sometimes a little cliche but it is forgiveable to me.
The characters were nice, well played. The main actor's beauty incredible.
I just wished the main actress' character was less cliche and more intelligent but at least she was not weak.

Waiting for the second season now.

If you want to watch a drama with not only a love story, but also interesting political plots, amazing martial art scenes and beautiful clothing, do not watch this drama.
Only the romance was interesting, but it left me frustrated and bitter. Seems like I am the only one since, after reading all the reviews, everyone seemed to be satisfied with the ending.
This drama has one of the most convincing love triangle. Xin Yue is loved by two amazing but very different men :
- Mo Xun (aka Ninth Lord). He is an intellectual and has a weak body. In order to cure himself, he becomes a very talented doctor but runs a wealthy business. This man is nice, quiet and elegant.
- General Wei (Wei Wu Ji) is ambitious and a great fighter. He leads the Nan dinasty's army against the Tartar to the victory. He is not afraid of anything, is a man of word and is strong.
Both are willing to sacrifice their life and happiness in order to protect the one they love.
I honestly loved them both. How can I hate one of them ? However, I did like one better. I shed so many tears for this particular couple, the chemistry was well to me. I saw them suffer so much and I felt so bad for them, I couldn't stay neutral. But Xin Yue does not choose him at the ending and leaves me unsatisfied...

Some of the second leads were nice, just like Aunt Hond or Madam Xiang, but they were not outstanding and the rest was complitely insipide.

It was tough not to skip some scenes from the episode 30 until the last episode.

Really, only the love story between Xin Yue/Ninth Lord and Xin Yue/General Wei worthed watching.
I particularly liked watching the drama from the first episode until the 18th.

I did not have any high hopes before watching this drama due to all the reviews I read. But since I did not have anything else to do and, after just watching Eternal Love with Dilmurat and Binbin, I wanted to give it a try. I did not have any great expectations though.
And I was right.
This drama had a great potential, the characters and actors were not too bad either. I really do think that the script was written clumsily. If the main line of the drama is great, the rest is boring. I spent my time skipping moments and moments and I usually never do that !
If the dramawas lasted 25 or 30 episodes, it would be much better.

Ruge was not too bad, she was touching, loyal and sometimes clever. Dilmurat did not disapoint me. However, I wished she gained more strength at the end of the show. I felt like during several episodes, some small details were showing her power growing, I was waiting impatiently a real revelation that never happened.

Binbin, as always, has this tragic role. He may have this very handsome face but it kinda tire me. I did not personnaly like his character. I think he could have make him more charismatic.

Xin Yue was a big disappointment as well. Not because of the character himself that I found rather funny. I just, for some unknown reasons, could not stand the actor's face ? I did not..... find him as handsome as how he is considered in the show.

The "mean" character was weird...... I cannot figure out why they did hire an actor with such special face and expressions. But I kinda got used to. He wasn't the best.

I like the Third Sect leader though. Suprisingly. And Lei JingHong.

Anyway, I watched it. Do no regret it but if I go back in time, I don't know if I would still make myself watch it.

#HappyEnding. #ButWeirdAsWell
