I really think the maknae police officer who has anger issues is the piano's teacher son. He has a grudge on our Chef that is not justified from their encounters...
There are only two episodes left and I admit to being a little disappointed and confused by some things:- Park…
As I was saying after watching the first 6 episodes, the script has issues and the directing as well. Now that things have progressed we can see clearly that the character development is lacking. Hence yours and mine frustration.
Just because cinematography / photography and editing / montage is pretty good, that doesn't mean that the audience won't notice technical problems.
As an idea, the story is pretty good, the execution is not that good.
Personally, what bothers me the most is when FL, in episode 9 or 10, tells her "uncle" he had her father killed…
True. I have tried to say so from the very beginning. Park became grey and now he is a patriot. Some seem to forget what awful things he did, because he felt he was protecting the King from being a tyrant. When Lee Tae's father wasn't one, nor Lee Tae himself. There are not such tendencies in those two.
When Lee Tae's father said that the Crown Princess was going to be from the Sarim, Park decided to have her family annihilated and he did regardless of what happened to the Queen. He had decided to depose her, but she was smarter, she committed suicide with poison.
So, for ten episodes we had the weak Lee Tae -puppet King who was crying non stop . Then we had the smart King who had a weird plan to frame Queen Dowager, now some claim that he is the true tyrant . Seriously, are we watching the same show?
Let me pass the historic inconsistencies that are all over the place. So, a monk came and said to Queen Dowager that he is Lucifer Morningstar aka the Buddha Maitreya and he can give her her heart's desire. The Queen Dowager, along with the Chief Eunuch, that btw had no responsibility to be in her Palace by the Law, tortured innocents and killed them.
Also, Minister of War Cho slept like a baby in the Palace, while the Chief Eunuch had a killing list and killed several Court Subjects by saying they are traitors.
Tegeum Park was afraid for a tyrant King, while his ex lover Daebi Mama wanted to break down his Joseon. She became a tyrant herself, because she was power hungry. Noone told her to become a Regent or do what she did in the Palace. In case we forgot, Park killed hundreds in order not his King to become a tyrant, but at it seems he is just a patriot, who just killed some for his ideology. (sic)
Lady Cho in order to punish Ddong Geum for being loyal to Consort Park, along with Queen Dowager tried to make her confess a lie, when she didn't do it the Eunuchs tortured her to death. The same applied to Siwol, who died for believing in his King and his ideal world.
Even though, Lady Cho tried to kill the future Queen, she continues to spit her poison. One thing is true though, the King Lee Tae is always saving Consort Park. All the time.
So, in the end when Consort Park / Yoo Jung founds out the truth, she is shaken. Of course she would be. The King did what he had to do. I don't understand why Tegeum Park is a patriot, but a King who wants to take his power back is not? At the same time, Lee Tae always warned Yoo Jung that she shouldn't enter the Palace.
So, no mr Jakkanim I don't like the road you are hinting. If you want them to fall apart two episodes before the ending , it is too much for me.
I can't wait!!!!! The Chief Eunuch is so full of himself he didn't even look bothered or scared when Lady Park…
The Chief Eunuch has the killing list in his hands. His demise is near. Not only for the royal subjects he ordered to be killed on Daebi Mama's orders, but also for trying to kill the Pregnant Consort Park!
Lady Jo is next for being involved to QD's plans and having Ddong-Geum being killed. Along with them, her father should be punished for leaving unattended the Palace for Queen Dowager's killing spree. He is not that innocent himself. Tegum Park informed him that he should choose a side. Minister of War Jo chose to betray his King and duty, in order to save his pitiful daughter.
As for Queen Dowager who is hungry for power, for all those things she did to Consort Park and to the Court and its members, her punishment should be severe. Not just exile, she needs to swallow poison herself.
The monk hasn't been given much screen time until recent episodes and I'm sure the writer is going to go more…
Apology accepted. Don't erase your comment. It has good points. Yes, that is what the jakkanim wanted to do, but it failed on execution.
The thing is that the audience know who is the next villain. There is no element of surprise. At first everything pointed after Counsilor Park, Then, at Lady Jo and her Father. Afterwards, Queen Dowager became the new baddie.
The exact moment when the Queen became the new baddie is not with the garden incident as you said. It was way before that. It was when the Monk was introduced to us that very first time. The seed of doubt that was planted in their conversation about Park and what is her "desire". That plot device made her the new villainess.

Dear feya_77,
Please don't patronize me by telling me this show is not for me. I wrote my thoughts, based on my studies and knowledge. Since you don't really know the person who you are talking to, please be careful with words like it is "complex for some viewers". For instance, I find complex to be Plato's philosophy about Ideal Forms, and not Bloody Heart!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, based on what they like, what they know, their cultural background, etc. Of course, we can have a conversation about it and we can still disagree, but that is the beauty of conversing with another human being.
This show has issues both on directing and script writing. It is okay if you like it, but that doesn't mean that the problems are not there. I am also not going to drop it, since I invested my time and energy to watch this because of Kang Han-Na and Lee Joon.
At the same time, I can say what I like and dislike about something, since I am backing up my thoughts, because what is what I have been taught to do.
I suggest "Through the Darkness" with Kim Nan Gil!
His finger clipping is his trademark, CMH might remember it from the past...
He was the thief of the photo. He is obsessed...
So, this guy was the one responsible for what happened in the past... Hopefully in Episode 9 they will solve this and not drag it.
It is about time for the HYS to remember what happened in the past and remember CMH!
I was waiting for the antics of Director Lee and actress OYJ, but not the misunderstanding trope...
