❤️ Happy Ending! Though the screenwriter adapted a 100-score novel to 50, shortened the story a lot, created some draggy, unnecessary plots and apparent plot holes. Thanks to the cast, filming and post-production, it's still a nice watch. Just hope iQiYi uses better screenwriters for good novels, don't waste the story again. Good novels don't come by often.

I didn't mean he's a flat character. But he should be more multi-layered, not only for the FL (love), but also for his sect brother(friendship). It's related to his growing experience as a beggar in novel, he cares about his pitful sect brother and took care of him as a family, shared his love secrets to him, and cried when hearing he's died of FL's scheme.

Yeah, he's a good actor. But his character is better in novel, the screenwriter deleted the storyline of his sect brother and changed a lot of his tricks. He could be a multi-layered villain in drama. Which is a pity for LXY... he could shine more or in a better way.

She was arranged to marry to an official later. But the official's first wife was killed by the princess's brother (died already). So he hates her and humiliated her at the wedding. Soon after the wedding, she committed suicide coz she thought she's a phoenix born in the imperial family, and no one could look down on her.
