I really loved it. I wouldn’t call it a BL really, it’s a family drama involving BL. Very slice of life, real issues discussed. Would recommend

at this point, 9 episodes in, I’m convinced the brain tumour storyline has been forgotten entirely.

No, but seriously if they didn’t forget, then the way I see it, either it’s another movie where, “oops, the reports got mixed up, you’re cancer free,” or it’s going to be ultra tragic and he dies.

NC scenes were pretty meh, but that’s fine, they’re portraying HS students.

The uncle with the nearly full body tat though… wow. That looked real. like yakuza.

Genuinely really beautifully shot series. Love the cinematography.

it honestly worked pretty well. there was stuff missed but it was minor or I could fill in the blanks.

I found it on dailymotion, then downloaded it with a video downloader, then uploaded it as a local file to the Miraa app, enabled AI sub transcription, and waited for it to complete. It’s a subscription service though, but fair price.

Great first episode! so much going on wow. I feel like Phum saying what Muifei’s father had said to her about how men should protect women was a huge catalyst for her escaping. It seemed like she really connected with Phum then. Excited for ep 2!

I downloaded it and captioned it with an AI captioning app (Miraa). Worked well enough! Until there’s a better way, I’ll continue doing this I guess.

completely agree, it was really stupid in a very funny way lol loved it, great ending too, wrapped everything up well.

if you’re really lost, I’d recommend the book, it’s not too long. I’d describe it as slice of life with extra spicy couple who make a lot of dirty jokes.

currently binge watching this, really good! I almost feel bad for Sea having to act sooo many crying scenes though, it’s every episode at least once. By the end of filming he must have had no tears left for a year.

Yeah of course, I agree, human translation gets the nuance missed by MTL. For me, the repeated misunderstandings were what made it sad. And poor Ouyang who seriously got screwed over, doomed relationship from the start. These things made me sad, but the ending was good. At one point I really thought they'd part ways like that, the end, thankfully not. So yes, bittersweet would be a good way to put it.
