I am with you on this one. These passionate haters here are not even Korean, they are just riding on this issue just to hate or maybe out of envy.
Anyway, I just learned what people have been talking about. It's really not Ha Young's fault she was born in a family of pro-Japanese. They are also making a big fuss about the agency's response. I guess Koreans are very patriotic for some reason, but come on, they should go after her ancestors and not her.

By the way, are you Korean? If so, why didn't you call her out when she did that (allegedly) long time ago. As patriotic and intellectual you want to seem to be, didn't you feel obligated to call her out that time? Why just now?

K-netz cancelling Ha Young because of her ancestors, yet they are all embraces and love for pdfs and enablers. So ridiculous. I feel bad for actresses in Korea especially the rookies, just one tiniest stain knetz can dig up, and they are crucified, while actors known for inappropriate s*xual behavior just happily get accepted back.
I hope Ha Young and her agency go after them and sue them.

Nah. Based on AUDIENCE, not critics, CGV golden egg for Hope is 83%, while for Colony is 89%. Rotten tomatoes so far has ratings of critics, no audience ratings yet.

Based on audience feedbacks, 'Colony' is rated higher.
Also, the number of moviegoers just keeps plummeting very rapidly. I think it will barely pass 4 million tickets domestically or 4.5 at most, which is way below the break-even of 16m originally although overseas pre-sales reduced it to half. I doubt it's gonna do well overseas too.
I guess being selected by Cannes does not automatically mean quality.
Anyway, so many more movies out there for everyone to choose from.

Love Ha Young. She's simply gorgeous. She must be a natural beauty because she's so refreshing to look at.
Just wish ML was Seo Kang Joon or Ji Chang Wook. They suit her better in terms of visual and acting.

I am surprised you did not mention Stranger Things. It's where I first saw the hive mind concept, which is the core of this movie.

Hive mind is not at all new. It's the fundamental trait of the villain in Stranger Things.

He is both the director and writer of this film -- well, co-writer to be exact.

Yeon Sang ho has a lot of ideas, but should leave the directing and script to someone else.
