Based on audience feedbacks, 'Colony' is rated higher.
Also, the number of moviegoers just keeps plummeting very rapidly. I think it will barely pass 4 million tickets domestically or 4.5 at most, which is way below the break-even of 16m originally although overseas pre-sales reduced it to half. I doubt it's gonna do well overseas too.
I guess being selected by Cannes does not automatically mean quality.
Anyway, so many more movies out there for everyone to choose from.

Just wish ML was Seo Kang Joon or Ji Chang Wook. They suit her better in terms of visual and acting.

I am surprised you did not mention Stranger Things. It's where I first saw the hive mind concept, which is the core of this movie.

Hive mind is not at all new. It's the fundamental trait of the villain in Stranger Things.

Yeon Sang ho has a lot of ideas, but should leave the directing and script to someone else.

I have been hearing about such issues with OTTs and stuffs.
I think it's a double-edge sword just like with all other advancements; there are always pros and cons. People keep innovating, so I think those issues or negative impacts, are actually opportunities to create better changes.
I kinda agree though, Kdramas have somewhat lost its charms, imo. There are only a few new ones that hit the mark.

Ji Sung looks like Harry Potter, with those round glasses. Hahaha.

I trust the reviews from reviewgeek as they seem to be the most accurate and objective. This drama has quite a low rating on that site.
I tried to watch this, but got bored and turned it off. It didn't feel as refined as one would expect from a Hyun Bin drama or a high-budget drama. So I decided to wait for more episodes and see if reviews get better, but sadly, later episodes got even lower ratings. Anyway, let's see if season 2 can pick up and save the drama.

Ikr, he's so handsome and extremely talented to be the second lead. I think he's seriously more talented than most of the 'pretty', 'feminine' boys taking main lead roles with their stiff, forced acting.

Tbh, the fight scene where Hyun Bin disarmed the hijacker really made me cringe. It wasn't convincing. Too many boring scenes afterwards, then I turned it off. Other than HB and co's presence and the set, everything else seemed so amateurish and not engaging at all.
I like my spy thriller intelligently written and action-packed.
