It exists, so I watched it.
You're SUPPOSED to sympathize but goddamn if they don't make it hard. There was so much excess time spent on nothing. Just time wasted that I finally started skipping through the crying scenes. I sat there watching these guys cry for like 2 hours and was annoyed. It was the definition of ANGST. I'd equate it to a 14 year old writing her first angst fanfiction. It was artistic, sure, but emotionally moving? No. I loved the background and buildup but once we neared the climax, I was already bored. Just guys crying from a far without any result for like 13 episodes. Was this review helpful to you?
*sobs happily*
To preface; this is the first MDL review that I've wrote that got over 7 stars. I don't know why it's rated so low. Maybe they didn't read the description beforehand and didn't know what they were getting into. But it was beautiful. Of course, there's something lacking and I think it's partially the final reconciliation. The other part is a bit more backstory on "Daddy" (I can't remember his name my apologies) because, while I grasped the concept, I would've liked a little more detail. I think that would've been the 10 stars in my opinion.Either way, I haven't been floored by a BL drama until I watched this. I found myself really digging into the psyche to piece them all together. That child actor was adorable, but also astounding in his role. Definitely watch it.

Simple and cute!
There's not much to it. It's very surface level, but it's exactly what I wanted!! Corny and cheesy and sweet. It's not deep, not overly dramatic. It's just a fun few hours of sweet content. Of course, because it's so short, there are some things that would've been enjoyable to see more fleshed out, but I still loved it. It's not a perfect story and from a critical standpoint it's very bland, yet it's the perfect short, cheesy BL. Especially during quarantine. They did a great job of incorporating the virus into the story to make it cute and very relatable! Was this review helpful to you?
Good until the end (but not really)
Basically the ending sucked. I have a knack for reviewing, especially cuz I'm an awarded (flex flex) writer. This is my first MDL review and this show was spectacular. Until it fell completely flat. Some may like the abrupt ending and I see what the intentional goal was, but it was rushed and confusing and not thought out at all. Tragedy's done best when the after effects of said tragedy are elaborated on and visually conceptualized. This wasn't it. It was a glazed over tragedy. A diet tragedy. Was this review helpful to you?
Tagged as a "BL"
My 10th grade long distance relationship had more chemistry than this. The story outline itself is cheesy romance but in a cute way. But was that really a romance?5 feet apart cuz they're not gay? Seems like they might be just two friends at this point. It felt forced. Like there could've been something cute there, but the direction went wrong. It's a run-of-the-mill BL (which i LOVE basic BLs fyi) except there was no romance. Just eye contact and aggressive product placement. It's a hint of a relationship through one long stare and then BOOM "look at me drink this brand name milk". I wouldn't mind product placement like this if there was a good storyline to include it in.
