In Progress' defence, his OTT acting was a result of the director "New" and not him. Watch the 2 stories video on youtube (with Fourth) where he basically says the director asked him to ramp it up 1000 times. I don't know why directors think this is a good idea (they have done it before), probably because they think the young fans will like it? Like you I sometimes find it hard to watch.

I think Almond needs to work a little bit more on his acting. It did get slighly better towards the end but it was quite stiff.

That religion and queerness can coexist and that no love is a sin as long as it's pure (pure including lgbtq+ relationships)". If you think that as long as love is "pure" it is fine from a Christian perspective then you are deluding yourself. By the way, the fact that there are so many rich "Christian" schools in Thailand, privately funded and supported by extreme evangelical organisations should be a concern. How many of the rich, famous and powerful people in Thailand have been educated in these schools? Do you think that's a coincidence? We battled and fought for centuries to curb their power and influence in Europe, with some success, but they have now sunk their claws in other parts of the world. They start by creating schools, to "educate and help the poor" - but there is a long term plan with everything.

I apply the same criteria when rating a BL as when I rate any type of series. Doesn't matter who makes it, acts in it or whether it's a BL or a sci-fi show.
As far as TTH is concerned:
Was the writing good? Average. The dialogue was slow, repetitive and dragged on. The story? The premise was good but not that much actually happening. Production? Decent. Acting? Decent - with a few exceptions.
Have they pushed BL to a new level? I seriously doubt it. What makes this better than say Last Twillight? What have they elevated?
Objectivity is key. I don't pander to fandoms, and as much as I might like an actor (and I do - I love Fourth and the rest of them), I will not just give a series a high rating to be nice if I don't think it deserves it.
Btw - I gave 2gether a rating of 2, and that was me being generous! 2gether was being propped up by BrightWin fandoms. But it's too old now and the rating is settled. Not sure anyone new is actually wathching it.

Goes up and then down I think. It started off pretty good and TayNew were pretty funny. But then the whole family acceptance and working 24/7 was a bit meh. Also found MondRyu's characters boring, and many of their interactions a little bit cringe. Mond couldn't really pull off his over the top character, and Ryu didn't quite pull of his either.
Quality of GMMTV's BLs is suffering at the moment. Too many actors, variety shows, fanmeets, concerts, etc. They are spread too thinly.

Just a hollow vapid piece of nonsense which people seem to rate highly only because of BrightWin, who by the way have the same amount chemistry as two gray bricks put together, rivalled only by their equally bricklike personalities. The only good thing about that series is it helped boost the BL industry - other than that it was a mess in all aspects, writing, acting, directing... the list goes on and on...
Anyway, hopefully he'll do a better job with this one...

... And then proceeds to give it a 10/10. As more people watch the show and use common sense, they give it a more sensible rating like 7 or maybe 7.5. Like I did. Consequently, the rating drops. Until the crazies come back on and create additional profiles to bump up the rating.
TTH is pretty decent - especially for a BL. But alas, a masterpiece it is not. 8.8 is still too high. This is a 7 or 7.5 tops.
People should vote with their heads, and not with their hearts.

Time pressure. It has been an ongoing issue at GMMTV for the past 3-4 years. Too many shows, series, fanmeets, events, variety shows, concerts etc... They have a huge roster of actors, keeping all of them occupied means quality suffers.
GMMTV does not make a lot of money from the series, most of them these days are a boxticking - something to keep up the momentum. Their new focus is on the concerts, merchandise and other similar commercial ventures.
I enjoyed this, it had some good moments and funny interactions between Tay and New, but the second couple somehow didn’t work this time. The relationship and interactions felt a bit off. But good work overall!
PS. We needed a lot more of Tui in this series, with a potential partner!
Hm... whilst I like Sea, I think he does struggle with his acting and his character portrayals. Based on that, I thought Sea's character in the pilot trailer was a good match for him, as it was similar to his personality, and he actually came across quite "adorkable" with his incessant "do you know that...". This apparent change in his character is not working for me (yet). Keen on the other hand is very much a natural entertainer, "quick on his feet", has great stage presence and sparkles whenever he's on screen or the stage. He has natural charisma which really draws you in, and this is something you can't easily teach. It's not surprising that he fronts clo'ver.
I'm going to be very controversial here and say something that will likely get me into a lot of trouble... but I think they were paired at a time when GMMTV did not appreciate or anticipate Keen's development, talent and potential. They were thrown together as almost like an experiment. But the two are worlds apart in terms of their development as actors and entertainers, and this is very much starting to show in all aspects. It's quite apparent in the trailer that the two are on different levels.
I also think this is down to them wanting different things in terms of their careers. It's clear Keen has great aspirations in the showbiz field (and the talent to match) whereas Sea seemingly sees this as a side hustle. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having different aspirations, and this is not criticism towards Sea in any way shape or form, but it does raise the question of how inflexible or flexible these fixed couples should be. The reality is that Keen would probably be better off with a different partner, and I wonder whether some breakups are caused by tension forming between actors for this reason.
Anyway - still looking forward to this, and I hope to be proven wrong so I can come back here and say I was!
