It is not quite like that. Most of his employees want to take revenge on him for the way he treated them, they…
I didnât say they were trying to kill him but wishing heâd die, whether it be for real or out of anger. I know the secretaries donât actually want to kill him. âșïž

Yes what youâre saying makes sense IF that was what the screenwriter did, however I didnât feel at all like there was a « replacing oneself  » kind of thing.

That is not how I understood it. I do not think the person is REPLACED by the other version of himself, no. How I understood what happened : The Ghost was the one who used the device in order to send everyone back to the past. I mean, she kinda rewinded the time, so itâs not that they were replaced by their future selves, itâs just that the whole events with the ghost being captured was erased except from their memories. As the ghost was the one who used the device, they were not the time travellers, the ghost is. You can time travel and be at the same place as the other version of yourself as long as youâre the one using the device. Thatâs how I understood it.
While watching the episode again with my sister we realized when the bureau lady came to the orphanage the orphanage…
But the orphanage woman didnât recognise the Ghost as being the one who visited (Jong Yi), she just said that Jong Yi was the name of the other woman who visited and that Jong Yi was also asking about a woman (the ghost) and that Jong Yi showed her a drawing (the ghostâs sketch), and when the AB lady showed her the same sketch, the orphanage lady recognised it (the sketch, drawing) and said âOh yes, this oneâ. Or did we both watch with 2 different translations?
"I usually had different take on that kind of situation," I'm talking about the $u!cId3. Since I was young, elders…
I doubt theyâll give us any more backstory for the signer but if you know korean history then itâs very easy to guess that due to the fact she was korean, she was probably s*lly abused by the rich japanese or at least forced to comply and sell her body unwillingly. We could see that when that old man was touching her inappropriately, she didnât react even though her face showed all the emotions and disgust. She was powerless and there was nothing she could do but there was one way she could escape those men: death. And so it looks like she decided to take her own life. Which also seems like it was premeditated because she said to Sunja «Iâll sing for all of us tonight» (sign for all of us Korean women and our sufferings because of the Japanese Empire⊠is what I understood). So she planned to sing in Korean, which is not allowed. If she didnât take her own life sheâd probably be imprisoned and tortured for rebelling, therefore I believe and the movie kinda suggests it, she planned to take her own life beforehand.
They refused it many timesI also submitted a week and half ago and they refused telling me itâs not asian đ …
I was told that many others tried to submit it and they refused each time so itâs not just me but all those who attempted to submit it, we did this together đ
maybe because the screenwriter and the author of the book the drama is based off of are both korean american?…
Itâs just how it was during that time, itâs not stereotyped. If you do some research on that period youâll find out everything in this drama is time accurate. Korea was occupied by the Japanese Empire, therefore they were struggling and werenât really thriving (for the average/poor families). They did not have the time to go to school or the means for that. The parents as well as the children just worked everyday in order to have sth to eat and thatâs pretty much what their life was. They were oppressed, treated unfairly and even killed for no reason by the Japanese so they kinda lived in their own country surrounded by enemies and danger. Moreover, this show tells a sad story, so it wonât be all shiny (if youâre talking about the colours), if youâre talking about their clothings : the clothings are perfectly accurate historically. Theyâre not overdoing it by putting on tons of make up and lipstick on the male leads like usually korean dramas do, because theyâre trying to portray everyone more realistically here, not trying to get views for the looks of the main leads.
I also submitted a week and half ago and they refused telling me itâs not asian đ and now they added it.
