On the topic of romance in this drama - I know this is a melodrama so I won't comment on all those over dramatic stuff but I honestly didn't feel the two leads to have romantic chemistry. It felt more like sibling relationship. That one foreboding scene at the end is just unnecessary
However all this is just on the drama. I would really like to watch Fandy and Puff in other roles. Fandy's role in the movie We are the champions was so good. That movie, it's writing, execution and everything is just incredible!
I cannot understand why in such dramas the rich 2nd/3rd always fights against his family. From my standpoint, even if he wanted emotional connection. Instead of wasting all the time and opportunity during school/college years, he could have studied hard and then so many paths in life could have been open to you. There are so many who yearn to have such opportunities that you waste over nothing. In order to prove you are not worthless and are independent as you claim to be - that would have been the path to take instead of causing stupid situations and arguing over everything. So frustrating to watch. Ugh.
This is one of those rare times where I actually agree with the 4.5 review up top. The reviewer has aptly explained what is wrong with this drama. The premise was so interesting that I jumped in with high expectations. I wanted it to revolve around the office and the applicants and throw in the main characters with their unique personalities but I really feel it could do away with all the unnecessary romance and that tiger man stuff. Less forced fast forward coupling and more implied / chemistry / interest would have been better while they resolved the main part that is divorce insurance and office politics. It just ended up being one dimensional.
Unlike most comments. I liked the first 1 or 2 episodes more than the rest. Show is a waste of the great cast here
I came for Lee Da Hee ❤️. Honestly unlike my initial thoughts from reading the reviews and comments, I ended up liking this drama and was able to watch the entire thing with interest specially after my recent kdrama slump. Like I would pick up dramas but lose interest by the 4th or 6th episode and just add to to my later watch list because I just couldn't stay interested long enough..
I had several thoughts while watching, a mental debate about the characters and some negative aspects of the plot points but it did wrap things up neatly to the end I was satisfied. Then i went back and rewatched the starting few minutes of the 1st episode to get the right feel. The negatives were not too bad and some interesting topics were also presented. But all in all this was an enjoyable watch and I took it as a lighthearted entertainment rather than serious stuff. Light stuff with just enough pressure is what I needed right now
i've seen her only in the evolution of our love. But I found her acting so natural down to the tiniest details. Much better than a lot of main role actors. I am actually surprised she has no main role based simply on talent although I know a lot of other factors are considered more when casting - it's not a fair world but it's still a shame. I will watch more of her dramas even as support role
They should have chosen Park Hae Soo for ML role. So Ji Sub's acting is too stiff and emotionless in Mercy for…
I can't say who to cast in the role and and I haven't watched Park Hae Soo . But I agree that So Ji Sub's acting is ... well it just doesn't pull me in. But in a similar age group - I absolutely love Namkoong Min's acting and Ji sung is also really good. Of course there are so many other great actors
it's such a good drama. realistic and so many of us have faced most of these situations. although it's still more optimistic than real life. (which is good otherwise i would be in more despair). But I really wish it didn't have the romance aspect with Shi Ye. And even worse a minor triangle type of situation. it's the worst. I honestly don't understand people who could even come close to thinking of anything with their friend's crush. Dude you don't 'fall' if you have morals.
Honestly I'm not a fan of Shi Ye's personality. Good to have as a friend but nothing more.
I'll watch till the end because it's very interesting and fun. Unlike some comments I didn't find the narrator to be distracting or annoying atleast for this particular show and the way they have placed it in.
I'm glad they're opposing it. I don't want to see AI in dramas or in any art forms at all. the problem with humans is they abuse every single thing. Most things can be use for good or neutral stuff but no we're gonna abuse it, infringe on rights, collect unnecessary data for selling, kill all forms of creativity by humans and also kill jobs while we're at it
Her acting and expressions in The First Responders are incredible. I can't believe I didn't know her until now. Mainly because I haven't watched most of her other dramas and I don't she has many 1st lead roles either. From now on I hope she gets many more centre roles in good dramas because she absolutely deserves them.
just saying - not just for this drama, but I'm allergic to smug male leads. They just disgust me with the I'm above you and I know how far you can go mentality(like he kept deciding on his own what was good or bad for fl despite the fact that she is an independent grown up and well educated woman who got to the position on her own merit). Of course that doesn't mean that all successful male leads are like that. there are are good dramas out there. Driven, successful, ambitious even a little gray male leads I'm okay with along with most other types - all except smug ones
Yes it will be detectable. They even gave an example of it by showing scenes from How Dare You and Pursuit of…
it is gradually moving to the point where so much has become undetectable across various fields. Even the field of arts. That's why I abhor it even more. It was still bearable when AI was just an aid but now people are developing it to the point of making 'people' replaceable.
even the entertainment world is under threat now. I am not commenting on this exact matter. But I just hate the thought of watching AI actors. I really want to keep watching genuine works by genuine people from the screenplay/writing to the scenario building cinematography and obviously very importantly the cast. Even if I don't enjoy a work much I never hate it nor do I hate actors for their acting (if I happen to not enjoy it as much) HOWEVER I would absolutely HATE AI
I am so confused why do they call it scandal? is dating someone a "bad" thing? I mean, use appropriate word please.…
yes unless it's something inappropriate they should not use such negative words. honestly why bring dating up as news at all? It's their private life let it be.. We are more concerned with their acting and related stuff
However all this is just on the drama. I would really like to watch Fandy and Puff in other roles.
