Meh

I thought this was a good film if you like films with unrealistic but cheesy romances. The story was similar to a Disney movie called “Starstruck”. It was also referenced to Cinderella due to gifts she received and mentions of a prince in the story and the film title + ending scene... Though Hinana was never a Cinderella or slave to any stepsisters at all. I thought it was cute but felt it was far too rushed at the end And their relationship was I felt too quick as he only had just met her and was basically kind of like stalking her and appearing at random. I felt sorry she didn’t end up with her best friend who always loved her but she never got over her first love. I would’ve liked him to get with a girl who could love him. I really liked it because it had a comedic aspect which was light but Not overbearing as many teen movies in Japan have. The music was good as they had english and Japanese songs and I liked that. (Why is Exile Tribe always in these movies Though?). Hinana wasn’t developed enough as a character to find out more about her past. Like what happened to her father? Unless I missed that and also she didn’t have much of a studious nature, it just wasn’t developed though indicated... they could’ve shown her rejecting romance for a longer time period like In the movie starstruck before showing she secretly liked it. I also felt the butt fetish thing wasn’t developed enough either and creepy that he looked at horse butts Which was to me disturbing . I recommend watching it if you like high school type happy movies But don’t like “romcoms” so much.
