I'd say tumblr is more fun than MDL at least over there people are watching and shipping whatever and no one comes at you telling you what to think and what to love. It's getting tiring here, watching and not coming here to read the comments is the best way to enjoy dramas for real.

It's not. This drama is focused on Tang Lici the male lead and his journey and how it unfolds. As for romance or whatever there is none but you are free to think whatever you want while watching honestly, whatever makes you happy.

I don't understand the hate towards bl fans tbh. Yes, some people go overboard but people assuming bl fans are crazy is what is crazy to me. In a non romance drama if you ship a character with another it's not that deep and people can interpret however they want as long as they are having fun while watching. People should just stop pushing their ship onto other people and stop shaming people for liking bl or romance and stop the hate because it's getting ridiculous... It's tiring to see people shaming bl lovers or romance lovers, people should just watch the show and think whatever they want as long as they are happy while watching.
Anyways, I'm just here to follow how devastating Tang Lici story is.

Comenting on MDL is kind of a waste of time since the comments are rapidly buried lmao BUT SIGH this comment section is about to become non enjoyable especially after ep11..

I haven't read the book but A Shui is part of the original story so even if you don't like her for whatever reason you may have she is part of the story (I actually don't know how much they changed the plot compared to the original but if she is here that means she has a purpose just like any other character in this drama and I don't think they added this scene just for the sake of romance). Focusing on this scene in ep11 whether you liked it or not or say this part was unnecessary is a waste of time and I wish people could just focus on the actual plot (of course, you are allowed to voice your thoughts on parts you didn't like but don't spread hate please).
This scene does not make the drama romance coded because if it was intended to have actual romance in it then it would have been so from the beginning but the most important story since the begining is Tang Lici's journey and what happened to him and the focus on his current goal.
Also, regarding the shipping don't attack each other just because someone isn't shipping the same characters as you are (be it mxm or fxm or fxf) since there is no romance people are allowed to think whatever they want and just enjoy while watching it's not like it's prohibited or something but just don't spread hate so the comment section can remain enjoyable for everyone while discussing plot points and characters.
I don't particularly like romance dramas nowadays (except for Fated Hearts) because I became quite picky as I've been watching dramas for years and I personally don't care about other people opinion on who I ship with either because I won't force my ship on anyone and the most important thing is to have fun while watching. So, whoever you ship Tang Lici with : GOOD FOR YOU HAVE FUN.
(And some of you should stop shaming people for shipping whoever they like, it's not that deep)

Anyways, I can't wait to see how the story unfolds because I'm so curious about Tang Lici's past and the way his journey will unfold, there is SO MUCH to unpack. Also, we are in for a lot of suffering yayyyy

The plot really doesn't need any romance in it. The journey is way more interesting and romance would waste the story (in my opinion). Also, it's refreshing to see Luo Yunxi in a drama that isn't focused on romance I must say.

I don't know if they were testing the waters for this kind of drama but it was really good in my opinion AND I NEED to see these 2 together again like PLEASE because they are incredible <33!! Because (from what I've seen) people mostly say this is too dark or something but they forgot that it's intended to be kind of dark since well.. it's a yakuza story :)) and also some people gave up watching because of the scene in the car in the 1st episode (which I can totally understand).

I watched the last episode and the ending was.. great ! From reading the comments yesterday, I thought the ending was not that great but honestly it's satisfying in some ways. I agree that certain parts could have been better but it's still a good ending. Also, you could really feel the lakorn vibes in this final episode LMAO there was no time to breathe (and the part with Pin's dad took me by surprise). I'll miss Sasin & Saenkaew omg and I hope Pin will find her own happiness (there is someone basically waiting for her and who has been in love with her for a long time). Anyways, I'm quite satisfied with how it ends EVEN THO, Saenkaew's dad could have suffer a little more but I guess his suffering was not seeing his son for a year idk. This was really a good thai bl ! The emotional journey was there and it's been a while since I've felt this much while watching a thai bl. It wasn't perfect but it was really good !! Definitely one of my fav Bl this year <33 !
