It was a pretty good adaptation, I could feel they cared about the source material at least BUT the series would have needed 11 episodes at least or even 12 maybe in order to take some time to develop some things better as the final episode felt kind of rushed just a little bit and ngl I'm not really satisfied with the revenge part because it was rushed.. and the part about Jay's mother was left unexplained ? It was much more implied that she was murdered than she killed herself so ? Now, I didn't read the novel and I have yet to read the manhwa so I can't comment on the changes made so if someone want to tell me what they think of the series as a whole or the ending PLEASE DO. But overall it was really good for an adaptation. Now I'm praying for a special episode PLEASE
The novel was published in english back in 2021 but the publisher does not exist anymore. But the novel is getting published again in english by ViaLactea.
Am I the only one who wonders about the umbrella? What was that about? Why he wanted this umbrella? We didn't…
It was probably the umbrella from when Zhang Zhun and Zhen Xin were on that historical drama set when they didn't really knew each other and a crew member asked Zhang Zhun his umbrella for Zhen Xin.
There are so many good bls this summer it's insane I haven't really enjoyed bls recently but now I have like 6 great shows airing on friday and saturday and each time one of them ends I'm sad ngl. Can't believe it's already the end for Deep In this week..
This drama is full raige baiting like every time I watch the new episodes I'm angry LMAO (especially towards all the people around Lu Xiaofan like FREE him, I just need him to live his life in peace and Bei Luqing frustrates me wth does he even want at this point?) but I also enjoy watching this drama if that makes sense LMAO
Damn.. I read the book in 2021, can't believe it got an adaptation. I don't know how it will work with some scenes but I'll definitely watch it !
For those wondering : the book got an official translation back in 2021 and I bought it (it was only ebook ver not physical ver) but the site no longer exists since they stopped translating danmei BUT the good news is that another publisher (ViaLactea) is going to publish it again so yay
Ughh I am so sorry and mad at myself to beeing glad that this is over π I just couldn't bring myself to find…
I felt the same sadly :( I LOVED them in Love In The Moonlight so I was excited about their new series but the story could have been so much better idk.. I think it's the writing, it seems to me that they had a good idea but didn't know what to do with the plot ? And I also had a hard time believing in their love because their relationship lacks development for me I just couldn't get into it as I have a hard time understanding why they fell in love in the first place haha. BUT I hope to see them again in another series next year<3 !
