I was kinda afraid of how EP9 will go because it could have destroyed everything build characters wise but I'm SOOOOOO pleasantly surprised. I have no complaints. This is GOOD writing right there omg. This episode was REALLY good in all aspects. (it still HURTS tho)
(laughing at the people calling Tinn weak too)

Now, I'm scared for EP10 because the preview is quite scary :)))

The way this whole situation is also a good thing for Tinn's dad because he can proceed with emotionally manipulating Tinn.. It didn't worked before but with everything that is happening his dad gained a kind of control over Tinn in a way and it disgusts me. (I hope I'm wrong)

Also, I saw people say they don't like how weak Tinn's character has become in episode 8 and that there is some kind of inequality in their relationship now. While I can't help but think it would have been great to see some real direct confrontation and fire in Tinn in this episode it also makes total sense why he is the way he is in episode 8. Tinn is clearly dissociating with everything and he lost his soul. You can't expect him to act the same way his grandma or his dad reacted or even expect him to have a proper talk with Phob because for Tinn even tho he understands the views of Phob in some ways about the situation of the country, he doesn't fully comprehend it as a whole and what people are really going through even when he sees people in the streets in episode 7 because he maintains the belief that the current system can and will do something. Tinn's monarchy mindset is deeply rooted in him since the moment he was born and while he is able to think differently compared to his family and sees things differently and give some thoughts about the poor situation of the country, give his all in his job, he isn't capable of truly understanding the what Phob stands for because even tho they lived together they did not experience the same struggles.
For Tinn, their love was everything and this is what he fought for 11 years later so hearing this whole conversation between Phob and his Mom broke something in him and destroyed basically his soul because he thought Phob was willing to let go of everything for him the same way he was.
But I truly think that if Tinn hadn't overheard this conversation between Phob and his Mom, maybe the outcome would have been different if they had a proper talk Tinn wouldn't be as broken as he is now.
I do think the way Tinn react and feel is realistic because he is in shock and feel used like a tool even if Phob loves him (they love each other for 11 years if their love is nothing then it wouldn't make sense) so it's not that Tinn doesn't believe that Phob never loved him but he needs time to process what happened and you can't expect him to change his mindset in one episode either.

It hurts because I understand both characters but I wanted to voice my thoughts on how Tinn reacted in this episode.

Now, I hope the show stays well written until the end and that the development is satisfying PLEASE.

I get the fact that he's completely broken, and it's only natural because the person he loved the most used him,…
Someone also said that he was dissociating and you can totally see it because when you look into his eyes it feels like he is just not here anymore.

Title The Edge of Horizon Spoiler
I get the fact that he's completely broken, and it's only natural because the person he loved the most used him,…
At the moment he seems to have lost his soul and his strength to think, he is driven by the pain of the betrayal but I believe he will get over it by next episode maybe and from what I've seen from the preview for episode 9, he will kind of go through what people have to go through in the country in order to gain money so this situation might be the moment when he truly understands because he is intelligent and he understands some parts but not completely and only by experiencing what Phob is fighting for can he then truly understands. I actually have no idea where the show will go but so far I think the reaction makes sense in the moment and Tinn needs some time to overcome the pain and be himself again and to experience what he will have to go through in ep9 (from what we saw in the preview) to truly understand.

Ah la la, unfortunately, it seems there is a few of us taking the whole picture into account while assessing this…
Totally, the BL airing since July is insane, I don't think we will ever get week end like this with so much good BL airing at the same time like wowww

Title Bittersweet Love Spoiler
Saw a comment from a fan of the original novel on how Bei LQ's character was made to look like the black flag…
WAITING for this major plot twist you are talking about (I have no idea tho) because that would be AMAZING if there is really a major plot twist.

It was a pretty good adaptation, I could feel they cared about the source material at least BUT the series would have needed 11 episodes at least or even 12 maybe in order to take some time to develop some things better as the final episode felt kind of rushed just a little bit and ngl I'm not really satisfied with the revenge part because it was rushed.. and the part about Jay's mother was left unexplained ? It was much more implied that she was murdered than she killed herself so ?
Now, I didn't read the novel and I have yet to read the manhwa so I can't comment on the changes made so if someone want to tell me what they think of the series as a whole or the ending PLEASE DO.
But overall it was really good for an adaptation.
Now I'm praying for a special episode PLEASE

I think that end credit was kinda an open ending, so those who want to believe they're real can do so. It doesn't…
Yeah I hated the novel but liked the drama, I wasn't going to watch it at first but I don't regret it.
