They said they would return soon after new years but since there's still been no news I think it got cancelled... Naver used to list it's finish date as ongoing not so long ago too, but now it lists ep 46 date as the last one.
The second half was much stronger, in the first half I just disagreed too heavily with the show's message regarding suicide to enjoy it besides it's many strong points, but at the end of the show the message had changed to something I could get behind. Last episode made me cry a lot, undoubtedly one of the strongest last episodes I have ever seen.
Overall a very unique drama, a must watch to anyone who can stand some gore and a very emotionally heavy story. Brilliant performances from the whole cast, especially the mom actress and SIG in the last episode.
Very underrated. It had a couple things I didn't like (age gap where one party is a teen and some toxic masculinity typical to older kdramas), but mostly it was very funny and engaging, probably one of those dramas I'm gonna end up re-watching every now and then.
