Just wow!! One of a kind show! Great acting Great story!! Keeps you on the edge..
Completed watching Season 1. To be honest, I was anxious to watch ep 20. It was like waiting for a verdict. The expectation was huge and therefore I was afraid I would be left with disappointment. Thankfully none of these anxieties came true. I am feeling relieved, happy and satisfied with the ending. Couldn't be any perfect.I posted this comment elsewhere too. I am recording this here again.
How was the season finale? A cliffhanger yes... but a good enough one. They gave us hope in the end (Jang Uk coming back alive and someone pulling Mudeok up as she drowns to the bottom). Finally got to see Jung So Min in action. Was waiting forever!!
This is just my theory for Season 2. They are projecting Crown Prince as being jealous and wavering but I believe he will be the one who will bring the truth about Jin Mu's schemes into the world. After all he is the only one aware of Jun Mu's hiding place and his schemes to destroy Uk! CP will also prove Naksu's innocence. Nobody else knows right? (About how she ran wild and was used by Jin Mu as a murder weapon). I also think that both Naksu and Mudeok (as priestess) will survive. That is because it is not yet come to light that Mudeok is none other than the eldest daughter of the Jin family. Also the youngest Jin daughter has a mission to find her and bring her back alive. Jang Uk will never let Mudeok (Naksu) die. And also we have Master Lee and the favor that Uk asked Master Lee by the lake if ever Naksu runs wild. Also, remember the poetry behind leaving the ice stone unharmed? Uk keeps on saying that the ice stone will be used to bring back the lover? Considering all this I believe at least 99.99% that Jung So Min will be back in season 2 even if Go Yoon Jung comes back as Naksu. Can't wait.
Jung Uk's body burning reminded me of Naksu's body which was burned. Hmmmm...
If Go Yoon Jung is back as Naksu and Jung So Min as Bu Yeon, then who will be the love interest of Jung Uk?
And imagine how powerful it will be if Naksu and Bu Yeon team up!! A powerful soul shifter and a powerful priestess!! Just wow!

Great cast!! Amazing acting!! Wonderful storyline!!
Recently started on the Chinese historical dramas and honestly they are all so impressive. Love like the galaxy is quite unique and the story is not so cliche which is interesting! The actors have amazing applaudable skills (not sure if that's even a word). Truly impressive storyline!! 😍Love the majestic aura of LBY!! Recently I learned that Leo Wu is a trained horse rider since young wow! (not sure if its real or rumour but he has indeed exhibited expertise!).🐴
Love how differently Zhao Lusi is able to portray different roles. I'm watching this after who rules the world and I must say WOW! Couldn't believe she's the same actress from WRTW! 👏👏
This drama shows how two people much hurt from their past, inexperienced in love, witty, clever, self willed, think outside societal norms, questioning illogical judgements, learn to fall in love and thereby heal each other!! This would be my brief understanding so far.
This show keeps me waiting every single day!! Love it!! 😍😍

The only thing that was a little off was when Joon Ki gets into a regular acting role and his relationship staggers a bit. That's when the fun atmosphere gets a bit affected but hey you won't dwell in the dullness for too long. Haha !
If you are stressed or bored or need some laugh, GO FOR THIS DRAMA !! You won't regret it !

The drama lost my respect at episode 9!
Till episode 8, I was able to see only visual elements in the story - Beauty, fashion, visual perfection. But story wise, nothing! Still, it was at least a little entertaining.However, in episode 9, I lost respect for the main characters. They deceived the nation, the rulers, their families, and everyone with the contract agreement. Okay. I understand that initially they did it and later they developed feelings. But, they didn't dispose off the contract right? So, the evil people used it to frame the couple and chase the male lead out of the palace. Understandable. What else can you expect from a evil character, right?
However, isn't it a fact that the contract was real? Did the villains fabricate the contract?? No. Absolutely not! Then, don't the royal contract couple need to explain that to the public sincerely and apologize for it? Absolutely.
Okay, let's say that they didn't do it because they were aiming for a perfect time to settle the matter, then did they show such a remorse internally? Did they have any guilt or shame for deceiving an entire nation? Nope. Not an ounce!
Alright fine. Then, what else were they doing if not even think about their mistakes or how to ask forgiveness from the people?? Oh let me tell you the golden reactions and proceedings - First, the female character rolled her eyes because the evil queen mom called the council of royal relatives. And why did she roll her eyes? Because the queen mom stated facts and female lead couldn't accept it coming from evil queen mom with evil intentions. But was what the evil queen mom said wrong or something?? Nope. She was absolutely right to anger, to call the council, to reprimand them for making a fool of the nation. But the lead characters' priority? Oww we are butt hurt.. you evil evil queen mom.. comfort me.. comfort us..aww.. BULLSHIT!
Next, what else were they doing if not thinking about an apology?? Oh this is pure gold- they were thinking about saving their asses. Oh wait.. don't be so kind.. just give it straight, what did they do?? They were tirelessly working day and night worrying about their royal positions BUAHAHAHAHA!
I'm an adult. I know the weight of what the people of a nation expect from their ruler and leader who they look up to, who will not just lay rules upon the people, but also set an example to follow. Unfortunately, as the drama focused too much on the visual elements, I guess they forgot to put some thought into their character building. They glorified arrogance and selfishness and projected an idea that these lowly and nasty qualities are acceptable if the visuals are in place.
Drama dropped as I lost respect. Kuddos to everyone that made it. You are the people that make the world more beautiful!
