People who hate on Sun Young would never be able to handle Urasawa's characters in Monster, it's all black and white for some of you, sometimes people make mistakes or are pushed to difficult situations. Direct the hate to someone else.
Congratulations to Ryu Seung Ryong for winning the Daesang Award and to Yoo Seung Seung Mok for winning the Best Supporting Actor awards in Baeksang πππ
So far, this is shapping up to become my most favourite kdrama this year. I love the direction, the acting, the chemistry between the actors and the way the writers have approached the story so far. I appreciate the fact they are prioritizing the victims, instead of focusing on the thriller aspect only. We need more crime thrillers, like Through The Darkness who don't neglect the victims and their families. We need to raise awareness to their feelings and stories and not dehumanize them or scrutinize their tragedy.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DREAM LIFE OF MR KIM FOR ITS NOMINATIONS AT BAEKSANG. Absolutely deserved, one of the best kdramas I've watched! I'll be rooting for it and Ryu Seung Ryong
Just finished watching it, I was quite sceptical at first because I usually tend to avoid this type of stories which have so much drama and plot twists but it was actually pretty good. I didn't expect to like the characterisation as much as I did, the majority of characters were pretty fleshed out and I liked how flawed and humane they were.
I finally found free time to watch the last episode (and on valentine's Day, wow!). Spring Fever was my very first romcom and it's safe to say that I enjoyed it much more than I expected! This series was perfect for me since I wanted to watch something lighthearted in order to relax during my university exams and I wasn't disappointed. Yes, it's not a masterpiece and the writing could have been tighter in some parts but overall, this is a good kdrama and by avoiding many overdone tropes, it offered a refreshing romance story.
I couldn't be more thankful for avoiding the usual misunderstandings between the main couple, which tends to happen so often these days. I appreciate how Bom and Jae Gyu communicated with each other and how they solved their problems. They were always there for each other and you could see that they made a great pair.
I can easily see myself rewatching this in the future if I'm in the mood for something cozy.
I'm gonna be very honest: when I had watched Twelve, I wasn't very sold from Lee Joo Bin's acting. But having watched Spring Fever, it's clear that the problem wasn't her but the writing and direction of her character in Twelve. She was charming as Bom and I loved having her on my screen. I am actually interested in watching more of her series.
In light of recent events concerning the Epstein files in US, Honour tells a story that needs to be heard. With every episode, the story gets more twisted and painfully relevant, I cannot imagine how one can watch the drama and feel completely indifferent towards the message. To think that there are many victims out there who will never get justice because the system would prefer to protect the perpetrators instead makes me sick to my stomach. Honour is a reflection of our society and a call for help and action. I am so happy to see that the writers do not shy away from portraying reality and I hope that the quality will remain consistent.
