I seem to be the only person who found the way the FL lead was written annoying. Bold when it didn't matter, arrogant, indecisive and an abysmal judge of character throughout. She could not discern who was strong with integrity and who was weak, until too late - and that crush on her best friend's bf/husband (in S1) ? Ugh. So the ML was harmed because he loved a deeply flawed woman. Ugh! NTJ was right, she would /did bring back luck and injury to LJH. He paid a high price for her growth and redemption.
I wanted to watch MJTY, but after hearing it did ZLH so dirty, I’m like I’ll wait for SOKP lol. And for sure,…
The ML’s development arc provided the architecture for the entire drama - he was a totally different person by the last episode. But as it was an ensemble piece, his wasn’t the only story; the multiple story lines made for great tension in the unfolding of the drama and between characters.
What a superb drama! Writing, acting, cinematography and the plot - everything calibrated and combined to create suspense that did not let up till the last scene. The ending left me breathless but satisfied. I have high hopes for the director’s next drama.
She is usually a very good critic, but her opinion on this was way of for me...
Many times I've detected extreme bias in Avenue X's reviews. When Chinese netizens were attacking Yang Yang's and Wang Churan's performance in Fireworks of My Heart she almost cackled with glee. More and more I'm wondering who is paying her...
Leads chemistry was top notch; I was the opposite....didn't find any chemistry with second leads....just lots…
The second leads had desire spiced with suspicion and deception. By the end I felt GSJ had feelings for SGQ but she showed no believable feelings for him
Ok done watching but there’s def something up with SJ and ZY. Those looks they exchanged in WuJi’s room? And…
I’ve been thinking there’s no way for the Gongs to defeat Wugen unless GZY and GSJ collaborate/cooperate so it makes total sense that they have been working together all along. I can understand both of them falling for their assassins, living in an isolated valley with few women, the attentions of their beautiful ‘brides’ are like food to the hungry.
I used to be more scared of SGQ than of YWS, but today, the tables have turned for me. YWS has the smarts and…
Totally agree! I'm watching almost as much to see how the relationship between YWS and SGQ pan out as to see how the Gong family survives Wufeng's espionage.
Such immature emotional reactions.
