I never expect a novel and their drama adaption to be told in the same way, which is fine most of the time, but I'm currently feeling disappointed. The script for the first 3 episodes isn't that great and because of that I find it hard to ignore the production value as well. Without spoilers, can someone tell me if the story will improve?
Me too. I am searching for her next book but can’t find any, would you happen to know if there is one ?
I believe she's currently working on a novel called: Ten Years of Lights in the Night Rain in the Rivers and Lakes/ Rivers and lakes night rain 10 years of lamp/ 江湖夜雨十年灯 with genre tags: historical, romance, martial arts, suspense, etc. The author is on a break
I started watching because of Xiao Zhan, but ended up viewing several more episodes, which turned into seasons! The first season was just as fun to watch! (The subs tend to be summarised, or skipped, but I think I got the overall meaning?)
The script and plot were not really my thing, nor was the chemistry between the MLs. (From time to time we'd get scenes involving their friend groups, which I'd look forward to the most)
Although I ended up not caring much for the romance between Kenta and Yashiro, I really enjoyed Rin's character. The dog was crazy cute! Some of the wigs, costumes and CGI were a bit hard to look at, but nothing you can't ignore
