I just realised the last 3 episodes haven't been translated yet... I'll definitely re-watch it with subs, but until then (or until I learn mandarin)...
I'm really, really tempted to read the novel, but I'm saving it for afterwards. With a star cast like this, I don't want to know too much of the story line yet
One of the disappointments I feel towards this drama is the lack of buildup shown towards Akira's decision after being with Yuki for more than 10 years. I believe they tried to show it, but his sudden decision to try and live a 'normal' life after all that planning seemed rushed. I sort of got that Yuki wanting to follow his own dreams and ambitions, made him scared that Yuki might leave him one day and wanting to life a 'normal life' was just Akira's excuse to distance himself from his intense feelings, but I would've liked to see more of his thoughts, since this made him seem impulsive. They also implied that he might've felt pressure from his mother to live an average life and honestly, we all kinda knew that she'd probably bothered him a lot over time, but we never got to see it. Since he was fine with ignoring it for so many years, it would've been interesting to see it included during the time he was starting to doubt their future together. Like, we all know WHY, but I would've liked to have seen more details on his struggles.
3rd couple? Endearing.
2nd couple? Bae.
Tang Yi's love interest? A winsome walking fashion disaster.
